In the premiere episode, the shoppers are faced with the mother of all challenges--mothers and daughters! When fashionista Stacey hires Barbet to find her an outfit for her daughter's bat-mitzvah, twelve-year-old Samantha gets to decide what mom wears. Meanwhile, Amy is shopping for Hope and her daughter, Grace--two New Jersey ladies who style is all about sparkle. Dynamic duo Gregg and Tayler are working for Heather and her teenaged daughter Madelyn, but shopping quickly turns into family drama.
Barbet's new client is diva Alisa-Maria. Alisa-Maria has a closet full of expensive designer clothing, a rich fiancé with deep pockets, and daughters who aren't afraid to speak up--especially when it comes to fashion. Jennifer is a New York socialite, author, and event planner who has a big rolodex and an even bigger personality. But as Amy quickly discovers, she's also the client from hell! Gregg and Tayler travel to Pennsylvania to meet their new client: professional poker player Beth. Beth is a fashionista whose shoe collection alone is valued at over one million dollars.
Gregg and Tayler face mission impossible when their pregnant client Starr Scott, wife of NFL superstar Bart Scott, wants a purple alligator Birkin in time for her baby shower. Barbet shops for three clients: a mom and her two outspoken daughters--all looking for wedding outfits. Derek clashes with his client Danielle when he calls her "tacky."
Gregg and Tayler shop for socialite Barbara, and when she changes themes and refuses to tell them the budget, they realize this will be one of their toughest challenges. Liz is a fitness freak whose CEO title doesn't jibe with her gym rat wardrobe. Amy's challenge is to get Liz out of yoga pants and into business-wear in time for an upcoming trade show. Liza calls on Derek to help her update her wardrobe. But when he sees her eight closets, Derek realizes he's dealing with a fashion hoarder.
Amy is hired by celebrity caterer Andrea to create a new signature look. Sixty-seven year old Andrea has a closet full of designer pieces and the bikini body of a twenty-year-old to show them off. She calls Derek to find her a new look for a fundraiser in the Hamptons. Devorah and Barbet hit it off as they bond on their common passion for fashion. But the relationship goes from hot to cold when Barbet brings animal-lover Devorah clothes that go against her PETA inspired ideology. Things go from bad to worse when Devorah's "gay husband" gets involved.
