Mindhunter

Season 1

I need season 2 right now!

really great—only big issue is with how Carr fizzles a bit. she ends up being neglected by the increasing focus on Holden’s hubristic disintegration in the last few episodes, which is too bad because mid-season she’s the most interesting figure

I am biased since this is based on one of my favorite books written by a hero of mine and, of course, it's my favorite subject. Really wonderful show and I'm already eager for Season 2!

definitely needs more Wendy Carr but other than that it was great

It takes one to know one.

The subtle turn of the show is one of the most unnerving and uncomfortable pieces of fiction I've watched. It's so slight and under the surface that you almost don't realize that it's happening. And by the time you really catch on to how sinister it is, it's too late. Mindhunter sinks it's hooks in quickly and menacingly. It starts a bit slow (although I was never anything less than intrigued) and by the end, it is enamoring and enthralling. I legitimately could not stop thinking about it while it was going on.

The performances of this season are magnificent. Jonathan Groff has some of the most versatile range I've ever seen in an actor, but the rest of the cast is similarly excellent.

Wow. This is Zodiac levels of greatness from Fincher.

Very interesting, has likeable characters but is very inconsistent.

The first episode is more than a bit dry and has led many of my friends to give up on the series. I myself almost didn't watch the second episode but I was tired and didn't feel like searching for another series to watch. And I'm glad i didn't because the second episode is where everything really started to formulate and it only improved from there on out. Overall, an absolutely amazing first season. I cannot wait to see what they come up with in season 2!

Basically it's like Masters of Sex but with people getting to intercourse through rape and murder instead of counseling.
