The episode shows Phil bonding with Alex over being an ugly duckling in Social circles while the actual ducks are accepted by the family. Gloria gets "chilly" with Cam and Mitch understands Jay better now.
For some reason I always love the episodes where Phil is an awesome dad. (That's pretty much all the time, but yeah.)
