Newlyweds Jeff and Julie Simon want to blow out their 70s throwback basement on the cheap. But local building and fire codes threaten to squash the budget before the building begins. When the happy couple tries to free up cash, they turn to the Money Hunters, Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell, for help.

1x02 Suds n' Soap

Melanie Burrows is going crazy. Her husband Kyle's homebrew hobby is taking over her kitchen. She wants to morph their old utility room into the beer factory of Kyle's dreams and the laundry room of hers, but shoddy windows, poor insulation, and a tight budget stand in the way. It's a tall order for an ordinary builder, but not for the Money Hunters, Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell.

John and Chrissy Kuzmick moved into their dated Tudor twin with grand plans for updating it. However, that was 15 years ago! They need the Money Hunter, Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell, to give their entire first floor a facelift on a one room budget, but a load-bearing wall and an unsafe chimney will make it a challenge.

David and Michele Rogers' home renovation is down to just two rooms, a drab den and a shady sun-porch. Michele isn't afraid to spend, but David has a firm price in mind for the project. When her plan for the porch goes awry, it's up to the Money Hunters to work out a compromise, without compromising the project.

1x05 The Spa Treatment

Empty-nesters Larry and Debbie Buller would like to pamper themselves into retirement with a new relaxing bathroom. To transform their cramped bathroom into a relaxing spa, they want to rip out a dilapidated home office to make more room. They don't want to go over budget, so they're going to need the Money Hunters if they want to leave enough cash in the bank to spoil their grandson.

1x06 A Knock-Out Kitchen

Thuy Thammavong had the kitchen of her dreams, but left it behind when she and husband Steve moved into a bigger house for their growing family. Steve will spare no expense to make his wife a satisfied chef again, but Thuy needs the Money Hunters', Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell, help to keep Steve from spending them into the poor house.

Rae Munroe and Adina Silberstein's garage needs work. It leaks. It smells. The walls are crumbling. They'd like to build a potting station with running water, a work bench, and still have enough space for a car with a budget of seven grand! This one is tricky, even for the Money Hunters, Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell.

Paul Tilghman and Melanie Rodriguez are new parents with an old house. They each have their own passion project that they want to tackle. Paul wants a rehabbed yard with patio and Melanie wants a functional utility room. The compromise is one that only the Money Hunters, Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell, could pull off: do both.

Former Minnesota Viking Sean Burton and his wife Joy want to convert their unfinished basement into livable space, but they disagree about the plan. Joy wants an extra bathroom and flexible space. Sean wants it to become his man-cave. Joy's going to need some help form the Money Hunters, Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell, to rein Sean in.

LaMonte Adams' mud room "serves its purpose", but wife Zarah wants to warm up their chilly utility room. The open ceiling, bare floor, and exposed HVAC are all eyesores and make a lousy first impression for their guests who enter through the garage. LaMonte is willing to make improvements with a $5,000 limit, so Zarah is going to need some help from the Money Hunters, Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell, to spend it wisely.

1x11 This Old Townhouse

The McGovern's began renovating their relic of a row home five years ago, but everything has to be custom made in a house built in 1860. Marisa is due to give birth in six weeks, leaving John-Paul scrambling to finish the entire first floor as his last project before the baby comes. This new family desperately needs the Money Hunters', Matt Blashaw and Deanne Bell, guidance if they want to finish on time and leave a future college fund intact for their new arrival.

1x12 Baths in the Belfry

Unfortunately, their budget is more over-the-counter than prescription-strength. They want a kitchen like the ones they see in magazines, but have a fraction of the high-end budget. Lucky for them, the Money Hunters, licensed contractor Matt Blashaw and engineer Deanne Bell, are here to increase their DIY dosage and give them the kitchen they long for.

2x02 Bargain Basement

Ryan's an electrician and can barter plumbing from a buddy, but in order to beat this basement they'll need the Money Hunters batting cleanup. Can the Money Hunters get this couple and their renovation back on track?

Television host Elizabeth Jennings and her businessman husband Alex are certainly not short on personality. What they are short on is space in their master suite. The solution? A huge $75,000 renovation/addition! The problem? They only have two-thirds of that to spend. Can the Money Hunters manage this massive budget, or will they dig a foundation hole they can't afford to fill?

When we last saw Alex and Elizabeth Jennings, they were enjoying their new Money Hunters-style addition. But record rainfall has since caused a severely flooded basement and dampened their mood. And things only got worse when they received the insurance settlement. Now this couple is faced with the challenge of rebuilding their basement for a fraction of its worth. Sounds like it's time to call the Money Hunters... again.

Rian and Rory Beasley recently moved out of the city and into a suburban home to raise their son Sammy. They were drawn to the house because of the unfinished addition and the possibilities of what it could become. Their vision for the space is to create a living room, a mudroom area, a playroom and a bathroom...for only $7,500! Can Matt and Deanne pull off a renovation miracle?
