During the preparation for the 2013 season, Lars realizes reluctantly that he must get rid of Browney, his best and most experienced leader dog.
Just before the start of the season, blood samples show that Lars is still not healthy. The 600 km long Femundløpet becomes a test of what shape Monsen and his dogs are in.
