Well, that's an interesting premise. Let's see what they'll make of it.
I was rolling my eyes the whole episode, tbh except for Raelle everyone of them was so annoying!
I'm sorry, what's this ? You're telling me there is a way to portray female leads, and show them as being empowered ... without it somehow involving "smashing the patriarchy", and/or literally beating men in random physical feats ?
Wait, they are also able to show their prowess through their own individual experiences and attitudes, and not in contrast to some over-the-top stereotypical misogynist ? I must be dreaming.
On a more serious note: really interesting premise and cast. Have very high hopes for this show, and can't wait to keep watching !!
Ooh the premise has me hooked! Enjoying the dynamics so far. I had a feeling that the love interest might end up being part of Spree just by her anarchist attitude. Let's see how this plays out!
I knew Scylla, just didnt think she was the terrorist from the mall killings .
Knew something was off how she just pops out of no where and seems to be clinging to Realle since i think she may have some sort of unique powerful powers. It sucks that they can’t differentiate between the good guys and the bad. But i guess thats no different from now if your are t racists about it of course and just put a minority group in one box.
Cool scene with the little burning hair as Raelle walks in.
Pretty interesting. The ending was predictable but still good imo.
Not impressed by the first episode. Looks like another Hollywood soap opera just with mentally unstable witches in it.
She is neither pink nor pale,
And she never will be all mine;
She learned her hands in a fairy-tale,
And her mouth on a valentine.
She has more hair than she needs;
In the sun 'tis a woe to me!
And her voice is a string of coloured beads,
Or steps leading into the sea.
She loves me all that she can,
And her ways to my ways resign;
But she was not made for any man,
And she never will be all mine.

I thought Demi Moore's character in, "G.I. Jane," was very powerful when she told her Master Sergeant to, "Suck my dick !" You can feel that here, too.
There was a lot of loaded stuff in this that evoked meanings ingrained in me around Service, Sisterhood, and Family.
I was able to riff across different emotions, and get my dopamine on (feel them deeper)... :thumbsup::thumbsup:
However...historically, witch was a term for someone who liked to trip (used hallucinogenic plant extracts). And, to avoid vomiting, instead of taking them orally, they made a salve, and applied it to a broom handle and rubbed it into the mucous membranes of the genitalia between their legs. Flying on their broomstick, quite simply meant getting high and how they did it.
Also, there was an outbreak of ergot on the rye in Salem at the same time Salem was put into history for witches -- popular culture just "played telephone" with the stories!!!
I enjoy this show something fierce, but I also have a history of taking LSD and magic mushrooms in my late teens & early adult years...and, I know reindeer are known to eat hallucinogenic mushrooms to break up the monotony of the long white winters.... So, I wish the truth was better known.
Barely saw 10 min and already hooked. Awesome idea.

This was so obviously written by a man it was painful to watch. A mark that becomes shiny once you lose your virginity? And assuming you can't lose your virginity if you've grown up surrounded by women? Yikes.
