The first 20 minutes... Pure genius!
Loved that intro, and it's really surprising that some people don't understand the importance and the meaning of this device. The stranger thing is that I was having Full House vibes all over, and then Alf showed up all of a sudden.

R.I.P. Maxine.. (Gotta love bloodhounds..)
Kudos to the Man In The Trunk :D
I hate dream sequences in shows; as it always shows lack in actual story telling. Was way too long too.
Last season was great and this season it just feels like it's dragging on with this kind of nonsense.
This show is getting way too pretentious. Too much dramatic intense music for too many long boring corridor scenes/shots.
It really is starting to think it's bigger and more serious than it actually is.
Kind of reminds me of how Homeland went; which is a shame. I.e a lot of borderline jumping of the shark moments (this episode and season in general).
I absolutely loved this episode! Generally I'd skip a themed episode because they're always poorly created, but not this one. Kudos to anyone involved in creating this episode, very well done!
LOL that trippy 80s sitcom sequence featuring ALF and a Nintendo Game Boy is my favorite thing I've seen on this show so far!
What the hell is going on with this show? This episode started crazier and more out of place than usual. 20 minutes of unnecessary intro, but I guess it's part of the esthetic. You never know what you're going to get. The rest of the episode was okay, with the flashback and Angela's part being a bit exciting. I am losing interest, though. I haven't enjoyed this season as it is, maybe this show is just not for me.
That intro reminded me of CRT TV days. Anyway, it was a good episode. I felt the thrill when Angela was doing her thing which tbh I haven't felt in a long time from this show.
I really loved the intro. Especially because I always loved ALF
WTF? What the hell? I think this is too crazy for me. But also funny.
I just hated that intro. I was so in the mood for a dark episode and then I get to see a sitcom... for 17 minutes. I just wanted it to be over. I don't even care that it had an actual meaning because that didn't make it any less annoying.
And do you know what makes that episode even worse? They killed off Maxine the dog D:
But at least the rest of the episode was really nice - We got to see the moment where Elliot learned about his father's sickness, how they/he chose the name for the shop, how his father kind of protected him from the beating and the scenes with Angela were interesting as well.
This episode made me feel like I was on an acid trip. Trippy
what the fuck was up with that intro. was waiting desperately for it to stop. actually skipped ahead in the show after 5 minutes till Elliot is waking up in bed. Absolutely not needed intro and would have much rather preferred another 10 minutes of actual show and not 90s sitcom satire.
I really liked that intro. Although it wasn't necessary, it was a nice way to explore Elliot's state of mind. And it is another way to interpret his perspective of the world. For Elliot the world must look like a sitcom. On the top-layer it's intact, everyone acts happy and problems doesn't seem to be grave, but it's just an illusion, fake as the greenscreen. Problems and dysfunctional relationships are laughed away, which compares to the real world, where Elliot sees how people always try to overplay their personal and societal problems.
But the producers need to be careful to don't overplay this creative tidbits in future episodes, otherwise it tends to distract from the main plot and becomes just a gimmick. In general it seems to me that Elliot's plot is underdeveloped in this season, in this episode specially. He doesn't need to be the protagonist necessary, i can see him more as a commentator as well, but he was developed as a lead. Now he is more of a supporting character.
The strength of the episode lies with the women, as it was built up in the former episodes. Angela and Darlene have an intriguing dynamic and they focus on hands-on hacking, which made this series unique. It shows also, that, when they focus on just two story arcs instead on for or five like in the last episode, they have time to develop it better and make the whole thing coherent.
That intro was genius! Mr Robot only gets better in every new episode, I've never seen such series to defragment characters and explore the psychological dysfunctions of them and that what that intro means, a perfect disruption of time inside Elliot's mind while he was off as a result of the beating he took
The intro seems to be pretty divisive, but I thought it was a really effective way to look further into Elliot's psychological state. In the end it also had a very emotional impact, too. And it was well-done, just over the top enough to be an effective parody and apply to Elliot's struggle with his own mind.
And the episode only got better form there. Angela being involved in the more technical side and joining fsociety was an interesting development,. As ever, I am waiting in suspense for the next episode.
Was that intro really necessary? Really takes away from the show. 20 minutes of crap.
Haha, holy shit. WTF was that intro.
intro amazing hahaha, it make very sense in the history
Thought that intro was awesome, yeah it didn't need to go on that long at all, maybe 8 minutes instead of 15? But that's just Mr. Robot for you I guess haha! Loved the infiltration scene too and interested to see where it goes from here
Too Many Cooks. I mean, Aldersons.
I thought that intro was funny
Oh what a beautiful episode. Shot beautifully, acted beautifully, written beautifully. Perfect pace, interesting transitions, and all wrapped up perfectly for a mid season episode.
Loved the Alf cameo and the high Growing Pains influence on the start of the episode. Quite well done.
Funny to hear more of the references like wax on wax off.
But so far whole seadon 2 is not so interesting.... it just keeps dragging on and on.
That moment when I actually watched this episode on the same day of the week as it originally aired, so the USA Network "Word Up Wednesday" intro thing was appropriate.
The beginning of the episode really got me lmao x'D

I absolutely loved that intro... it could have been a tad shorter, but I kinda liked the fact that it was long enough to have "commercial breaks" inside of it. With Mr. Robot I never know what to expect anymore, lol. The rest of the episode was also amazing as always, fsociety teaching Angela how to hack is such a good story.
The only thing that left me a bit confused was Darlene not knowing what was happening when Angela and CD guy were looking at each other. Shouldn't Darlene know that he was responsible for the CD? The CD at Allsafe as ground zero for the hack, and it was known that the Dark Army was behind that. This is probably not important anyway, but I still couldn't help but get confused, Mr. Robot is vague sometimes and it's hard to tell who knows something or not.
Also, I love the flashback scenes we're getting this season.
