If Trump is a puppet to the chinese why do they even need Ellilot in the first place given Trump wants to burn the motherfucker( FED) to the ground? Seems like the writers could not keep their weak liberal BS out of a great show.

Trump bashing is getting old and it distracts from the story. If Hillary had won, would the writers be bashing her?

We finally learn how Tyrell survived The Big Night and what he's been doing since then, and it all makes sense, given what else we've already learned since that time. And the way that they tied the relatively distant past to both the relatively recent past and to the present was a thing of beauty and a superb example of when nonlinear storytelling is necessary in order to control when a given plot reveal -- Elliot's duality in this instance -- is actually offered up to the audience, as well as how to do it right.

Finally a parallel story of Tyrell's perspective

Not a big fan of this 100% flashback episode, though I guess it was useful to link some events in the past season. Irving is a badass character. I loved his first scene in the first episode, and he's bean great ever since.

The "interview" between Tyrell and the old dude was so pathetic!!!! omfg... who in their right mind crack "under the stress" from such a stupidity of interview. Any average man would stand there for hours just answering "fuck off"... and probably days just lying .. that is if you wouldn't just tell the dude to fuck off. lol

The episode I didn’t know I needed.

This was a masterfully done recap of the previous season's events, from Tyrell's perspective, filled with a great balance of exciting and shocking moments as well as tense, slow, suspenseful moments. One of the most impressive thing about Sam Esmail's world in Mr. Robot is how many of the side characters are really deep and well done, it didn't even feel like Tyrell was a side character, but a main characters, and the story in this episode is so engaging that for the majority of the runtime I forgot that Elliot even existed.
