The first half of this penultimate episode is utterly terrible.
The writers must've derived Dong-Mae's name from deus ex machina, as this thinly written character conveniently appears out of nowhere (from sudden death even) to help those in needs. On this episode, he appears to reenact the beach scene from a celebrated Korean drama from 2000, Autumn in My Heart. How Dong-Mae is able to carry critically injured Hina all the way to the ocean (at least an hour drive via highway) is beyond me. That is not to belittle charismatic Yeon-Seok Yoo, who does a credible job adding as much depth into this largely unnecessary character.
Anyway, the second half thankfully picks up the pace.
