When Musti helps Daddy water the flowers in the garden, he accidentally sprinkles Mrs Hedgehog. Musti shows Mrs Hedgehog around the flowers in the garden. When they come to the roses, Musti goes off to ask Daddy if he can pick some. Roses have thorns… as Mr Rabbit soon discovers!
Daddy makes a mask for Musti, because it is carnival time. When Musti shows himself to Miss Tortoise, she doesn’t recognize him. Miss Tortoise naturally wants a mask too. And when the two friends pass Mr Rabbit in the woods, he doesn’t recognize either of them.
Mr Dog is very unhappy because one of the planks is missing from his kennel. Musti finds out that Miss Tortoise and Mr Rabbit have taken it to use it as a seesaw. Honesty compels the two rascals to confess everything to Mr Dog.
Mummy and Daddy tell Musti they are all going to go on holiday in an aeroplane. How exciting! That night Musti dreams that he flies to the moon and plants his flag there.
When Musti visits the farm, none of the animals are to be seen. They are all waiting impatiently at the chicken coop, where Mrs Hen is brooding her eggs. Musti takes a peek inside and sees the egg shells breaking open and the chicks hatching. All of the animals are overjoyed about the birth of the new chicks.
Musti goes for a walk in the woods. He looks up at the trees. Their leaves are changing color. He meets Mrs Hedgehog who tells him she is getting ready for her winter sleep. A squirrel is collecting acorns. Mr Mole has a cold and can’t remember where his house is. He can’t see very well. Musti asks him if his house underneath a mound of earth. Mr Mole is standing on it.
Musti and Miss Tortoise help a timid little duckling who thinks she can’t swim. A little ‘encouragement’ from Miss Tortoise soon gets the duckling into the water… And look, she can swim, because every duck can swim. Now the little duckling won’t have to worry about being teased anymore.
It is a very warm day. Musti provides his friend Miss Tortoise with a little refreshment; he sprays her with cool water from the garden hose. When Mr Rabbit drops by, he wants the same treatment. But there is no more water in the hose. The water butt is completely empty. All they can do now is wait for some real rain.
When Mrs Goat finds she is missing a carrot, Musti immediately thinks of Mr Rabbit. The ‘honest finder’ Mr Rabbit returns the carrot to Mrs Goat. Mrs Goat rewards his ‘honesty’ by giving him half of the carrot.
Mummy has just hung out the washing. Musti wants to help her. He takes a dirty handkerchief and rinses it out in soapy water. Miss Tortoise is thirsty. She drinks from the soapy water. This makes her feel ill. When Musti sees a soap bubble coming from Miss Tortoise’s shell, he realises she must have drunk soapy water. Mr Rabbit says he will look after her. Musti takes Miss Tortoise to Mr Rabbit’s burrow. Soap bubbles are soon drifting out of the burrow
It has been snowing. Musti goes out for walk. He meets a bird who tells him he has to rescue Mr Rabbit. Mr Rabbit is stuck in a pile of snow. Musti pulls Mr Rabbit out of the snow and then takes him to the farm, where the animals do their best to warm him up again.
There is a strange mark on the ground that copies everything Musti does. Whatever can it be? A goose tells Musti it is his shadow. A peacock and a swan have also lost their shadows. Luckily, wise old Mr Owl can explain the mystery. He tells Musti he just has to wait until the sun peeps out from behind the clouds. Moments later the sun reappears… and so does Musti’s shadow.
Dressed in his raincoat and wellingtons, Musti is walking in the garden. When Musti tries to dry a rose, a frog laughs at him. The frog and Mrs Duck love the rain. Mr Raven is having a wash in a puddle. Miss Tortoise tells Musti that her shell keeps her nice and dry, but that Mr Dog is not so lucky - his kennel is flooded. Musti hurries off and helps Mr Dog drag his kennel to a drier spot. Mr Dog is very grateful
Musti is ill in bed. The doctor has called and he has given Musti some medicine to take. Mr Rabbit comes to the window to see how Musti is doing. Miss Tortoise has come too, but she stays safely on the ground. Musti tells his friends they needn’t worry. When Mr Rabbit leaves, he sneezes. He seems to have caught Musti’s cold.
It has been snowing. Musti drags his sledge to the top of a hill. When he slides down again, he almost crashes into Mr Rabbit. Mr Rabbit wants to have a go on the sledge on his own. He crashes into a tree and hurts himself. But Mummy soon makes Mr Rabbit better again.
This year Musti is helping to decorate the Christmas tree. He hangs baubles and tinsel in its branches and garlands it with fairy lights. What a lovely Christmas tree it is! When Musti lays presents for Daddy and Mummy beneath the tree his work is done. This year Mummy and Daddy give Musti a toolbox for Christmas.
Musti and Mr Rabbit have built a snowman. They are worried because the weather is getting warmer. They decide to save their snowman by moving him out of the sun. Musti loads the snowman onto a cart and he and Mr Rabbit move him into the shade of an old willow. But it doesn’t help. By the next morning the snowman has melted.
Mr Rabbit’s three nephews have come to stay with him. While Mr Rabbit is sleeping, the three little rascals sneak off to play… Luckily, Musti finds them.
Musti visits the farm. Mother Hen and the chicks are outside pecking for grain, but Mr Cockerel is ill. He can’t crow any more. Musti thinks Daddy will be able to help, so he carries Mr Cockerel home to his house. On the way there, he trips. This dislodges a grain of corn that was stuck in Mr Cockerel’s throat. Now Mr Cockerel can crow again.
When Musti looks after Mother Bird’s chicks, Mother Bird stays away a very long time. Miss Tortoise takes over from Musti, so that he can go and look for Mother Bird. One of the birds falls out of the nest. Miss Tortoise protects it with her shell until Musti and Mother Bird return.
It is Boomer the horse’s birthday. Musti, Oink the pig, Mother Hen, the duck family, Mrs Cow and Mr Cockerel all pretend they have forgotten. And then Musti gives Boomer a bunch of flowers and Mr Rabbit gives him a carrot. Of course everyone has remembered Boomer’s birthday!
Musti and his friends have been playing in the woods. When it starts to rain very heavily, with thunder and lightning, they take shelter in Farmer Giles’ barn. The lightning scares Miss Tortoise. Mr Rabbit is scared too, but he pretends not to be. Musti teaches his friends a trick that tells them when the storm is going away.
All the animals are getting ready for winter. The birds are flying south. One stubborn little bird doesn’t want to go. Musti and Mr Rabbit tell him he will be cold and hungry if he stays. They convince him to fly off south after his friends.
It has been snowing. Mr Rabbit’s burrow is snowed shut. He has had to sleep outside. He is very cold and very grumpy. Musti and Mr Dog borrow some straw and a piece of an old roof from Mother Hen. They clear the snow from Mr Rabbit’s burrow, put some nice warm straw inside, and make a porch to stop the burrow getting snowed shut again. Grumpy Mr Rabbit isn’t even grateful. But a snowball fight soon cheers him up.
Mummy bakes a cake to welcome their new neighbours. Musti and Miss Tortoise deliver it. The neighbours’ daughter, Marie, invites Musti and Miss Tortoise inside. They hear Belle the dog barking in the garden and go to check on her. Mr Rabbit has meanwhile come looking for Musti and Miss Tortoise. He peeps in through the window and sees the cake. And Mr Rabbit is a very greedy rabbit…
Mummy has lost her gold ring. She can’t find it anywhere. Later, at Laura’s birthday party, the mystery is solved: they catch a magpie trying to steal Laura’s silver birthday crown. The magpie took Mummy’s ring! The magpie loves shiny things. They remind her of the stars, and that makes her happy. Musti gives the magpie some new ‘treasure’: little snippets of silver paper and tiny mirrors.
Mummy has baked a cake. She gives Musti a piece for Miss Tortoise and Mr Rabbit. Miss Tortoise says she will bring Mr Rabbit his slice, but on the way to Mr Rabbit’s burrow she eats it herself. This gives greedy Miss Tortoise an upset tummy.
Musti has a little car. He is learning to drive it safely. He bumps into Miss Tortoise. Luckily, he doesn’t hurt her. Musti takes Miss Tortoise for a drive. Along the way, they pick up Mr Rabbit and Mrs Hedgehog. They arrive at the farm. All of the animals want to go for a drive in Musti’s car. He says there isn’t enough room, but he promises to come back the next day and take each of them for a drive in turn.
It is Musti’s birthday. He has invited his friends to a pancake party. While Musti is opening his presents, Mr Dog and Mr Rabbit have a pancake eating contest. They eat all the pancakes! Mr Rabbit eats so many that he gets too fat to fit into his burrow. He has to sleep in Musti’s bed.
It has been raining for days. Mr Rabbit’s burrow is flooded. But before Musti can help him to dry it out, he, Mr Dog and Mr Rabbit have to help Miss Tortoise across the stream; the bridge has been washed away. They build a new bridge. Mr Rabbit falls in and gets very wet. They all go off to get Mr Rabbit and his burrow nice and dry.
Mr Dog is hungry. Somebody has been stealing his food every night. When Mr Rabbit denies any knowledge of this, Musti decides to investigate. He borrows a sausage from Mummy and sets a trap to catch the thief. The culprit is Mrs Hedgehog! But why has Mrs Hedgehog been taking Mr Dog’s food? Mrs Hedgehog and Mr Dog find a solution that helps both of them.
Musti has his wery own patch in the garden. Miss Tortoise and Mr Rabbit help him to plant it with lettuce and carrots. To their surprise, lettuce grows where carrots were planted and carrots grow where lettuce was planted. Are the vegetables under a spell? Or have Miss Tortoise and Mr Rabbit been up to something?
Musti tells his friends the story of the Frog Prince. Mr Rabbit says fairy tales are silly; he doesn’t believe in them. Musti and Laura trick Mr Rabbit into believing he will become a handsome prince if he kisses a frog.
Mr Dog seems to have gone crazy. He has been running to and fro through the woods for days. When Mr Dog drops a photo of Belle, Musti’s neighbours’ dog, Musti realises that Mr Dog is in love. He has been running to and fro to build up his muscles. Musti devises a plan to get Belle to take more notice of Mr Dog. And it works!
The circus has come to town. Musti and Daddy decide to take a closer look. The ringmaster shows them around. To their surprise, they see that Bongo the chimp has escaped. Musti and Daddy help the ringmaster to look for him. Musti spots a trail of peanut shells. It leads them to Bongo. He is eating a banana in Mummy’s kitchen.
When the circus leaves Musti’s village, he decides to organise his own circus. Musti is the ringmaster. Mr Rabbit, Mr Dog and Sam all perform acts. The audience members clap and laugh. They think it is a very good circus, especially when ringmaster Musti gives them all a present from his magic hat.
Musti, Laura and Sam are watching the dolphin show at the zoo. Musti volunteers to help the dolphin trainer with the tricks. He gets Dolly the dolphin to jump and to play ball. And then Dolly pushes Musti along in a little boat. Dolly is happy because Musti gives her some fish. And Musti is happy because he has made an exciting new dolphin friend.
Mr Rabbit says Miss Tortoise isn’t feeling very well. She has done nothing but eat for the past two days and she keeps on yawning. Miss Tortoise is getting ready for her winter sleep. But she still has to find a cosy place to sleep. Mr Rabbit says she can share his burrow. When it turns out that Miss Tortoise snores, Mr Rabbit digs himself a new burrow.
The holidays are over. Musti is waiting for the school bus. Mr Dog, Mr Rabbit, Miss Tortoise and Mrs Hedgehog are waiting with him. They want to wave Musti goodbye. Mr Rabbit doesn’t want Musti to go to school. He wants him to stay and play. When the school bus arrives, Mr Rabbit takes Musti’s schoolbag and runs away and hides. Musti misses the bus. Daddy has to drive Musti to school. But Mr Rabbit is happy again when he is allowed to sit next to Musti in the car and hold his school bag.
It is a hot summer’s day. Musti is playing with his yellow submarine in a paddling pool in his garden. He dreams he is Captain Musti, sailing the submarine in search of sunken treasure. A sea horse leads him to a sunken pirate ship, and together they find lots of treasure. But then Mummy wakes Musti from his dream. It’s teatime.
When Musti and Mummy go for a picnic, they tell Mr Rabbit he can come along. Musti wants to pick blueberries, but Mr Rabbit says he doesn’t like blueberries and goes off in search of something else. Meanwhile, somebody has already started eating a carrot from the picnic basket. It looks like Mr Rabbit. But it’s not. It is his nephews’ friend Nibbles Rabbit.
It is raining outside and Musti is bored. Perhaps this would be a good time to tidy up his toy cupboard? Musti’s wooden horse is broken. He asks Mummy for a tube of glue and mends it. He builds a tower with his building blocks. When he has finished he puts his bag of marbles, his trumpet, a picture book, a toy car and everything else tidily back in the toy cupboard.
Musti and his family are on holiday on a sunny island. Musti builds a sandcastle. He wanders off to look for some shells to decorate it. Daddy tells Musti to keep his eye on the blue dolphin sign, but Musti still gets lost. Luckily, he makes a new friend Coco the parrot, who soon shows him the way back to Mummy and Daddy.
Musti is on holiday at the seaside. Daddy buys him a kite. When they fly it, the string runs out and the kite flies away. The kite gets stuck in the top of a palm tree. Coco’s friend Bonito climbs the tree and frees the kite. As a reward, Daddy gives Bonito some bananas.
Musti is on holiday on a beautiful island. At the beach, Daddy takes Musti, Sam and Laura for a ride on a banana-shaped boat. He tells them to be careful. But it’s Daddy who falls into the water!
Daddy has rented a motorboat. Daddy and Musti set out to take a closer look at a big cargo ship. When they are ready to return to the shore, the motor won’t work. Coco the parrot asks his friend Skipper the dolphin to give them a tow. Daddy is very grateful. He promises them a big reward: a bucket of fish for Skipper and some crunchy nuts for Coco.
Sam has been given a train for his birthday. Musti has one just like it, but in a different color. Musti, Sam and Laura make a really long railway track in Musti’s house, a track long enough to take two trains. Mummy surprises the friends by sending them a special cargo on one of the trains: three pieces of cake.
Mr. Rabbit is cross. People have been leaving their litter in the woods. Musti and his friends clear it up. Daddy helps them to set up litterbins so that people can dispose of their litter responsibly.
Daddy and Musti visit the farm and Musti meets Mr Dog, Mrs Cow, Boomer the horse, the duck family, Oink the pig, Mother Hen and her chicks and Mr Cockerel.
