Manu Feildel takes us home to the French province of Brittany and shares his story. In the village of Guidel, Manu visits his mother - a great cook and inspiration for his first book. He then relives his apprenticeship at a workers restaurant and joins his Uncle at his village charcuterie to make sausages. As he cooks, Manu shares his personal journey and visits his favourite places, such as the seafood coast of St Malo and Cancale.
Manu makes his way through the wine region of Bordeaux, along the Dordogne river and finally to the surfing Mecca of Biarritz where his sister lives. In a family reunion, we discover Manu's personal side and meet the man behind the chef. Manu meets with locals and shares his favourite recipes.
Manu returns to take us on another journey through his home country. Beginning in the French Alps, he goes mountain biking, before heading to Lyon to learn boat jousting and to try the local cuisine.
Manu arrives in Provence where he plays petanque and drinks pastis with the locals. In Camargue, Manu herds cattle with the local cowboys and learns bull fighting in an arena in Arles. On the final leg of his journey on the Côte d'Azur, Manu goes cliff diving in the Mediterranean Sea and visits Marseilles.
Manu returns to take us on another journey through his home country exploring the streets of Paris. its delights, and even learning the Can Can.
