After Whitney loses her job, she moves her two kids to Toronto to start a gymnastics club with her father. Joon makes fast friends and Jenny is happy to discover the school has a gymnastics team. However. the captain of the team, Olivia, doesn’t want Jenny anywhere near it.
Jenny goes behind her mother’s back and tries out for her new school’s gymnastics team. She earns a spot on the team, but a jealous Olivia blackmails her into quitting. Meanwhile, Joon and his new friends build a juice bar for Cortez Gymnastics.
Jenny’s new best friends, Rachel and Keisha, prepare a song and dance performance for the grand opening of Cortez Gymnastics. The big day becomes complicated when Jenny gets a surprise visit from her school’s gymnastics coach, Miss Allister. Joon and Gus get stuck in a lift and pass the time discussing family memories.
Gus invites a reporter to write a magazine article about Cortez Gymnastics. However, when the reporter arrives, he turns out to be one of Gus’s old gymnastics rivals. The Cortez clan must convince the reporter not to write a negative article. Meanwhile, following Olivia’s orders, Cassie and Tori visit Jenny to make sure she doesn’t show up to practice.
Joon, Dace, Kiko, and Paul put together an elaborate scheme to delete Olivia’s blackmail video. Meanwhile, Jenny is expected at gymnastics practice at the end of the day, but she does everything she can to avoid going.
Jenny finally has a chance to join the Canton gymnastics team, but Olivia makes her compete against Lena for the spot. Meanwhile, Joon and the boys help Gus with his preparation for a big speech.
The Canton team competes at a qualifier for the Hillside tournament. Gus tries to calm Jenny’s nerves, while Rachel and Keisha puzzle over a man with one shoe. Back at the Cortez loft, Joon and Whitney hunt for a mouse.
Tired of Olivia’s drama, Jenny quits the Canton gymnastics team. To cheer Jenny up, Rachel and Keisha sleep over at the Cortez loft, while Whitney, Gus, Joon and Mo play a high stakes game of Euchre.
The Canton team begins training at Cortez Gymnastics, and Jenny struggles to deal with Olivia invading her space. Jenny finds out she can enter Hillside if she wins at an individual qualifier and asks Gus to train her behind Whitney’s back. Meanwhile, Joon overhears that Gus has a secret and enlists the help of the boys to find out what it is.
Gus prepares Jenny for the individual qualifier using bizarre training techniques. She misses a school assignment due to overtraining, and Whitney blames herself. Rachel and Keisha are partnered with Cassie and Tori for a science project. The two strike a deal with Joon and Paul to swap partners.
Jenny is thrilled when her cousin Sarah comes to visit. Sarah witnesses Olivia’s bullying first hand and, unable to take it, stands up to Olivia on Jenny’s behalf. Meanwhile, Joon, Dace, Kiko and Paul overhear that there are unclaimed lockers in the school. The boys come up with a plan to find the empty lockers and sell them to the highest bidder.
Gus has a health scare and Jenny, Joon, and Whitney come together to support him. Whitney and Gus confront their past and work through their issues, and Whitney finally embraces Jenny’s dream of competing and agrees to be her coach at Hillside.
Jenny prepares for Hillside and we see how instrumental her father, Hector, was in helping her realize her gymnastics dream. Jenny is finally able to put her father’s death behind her and she is more focused than ever to win at Hillside.
Jenny competes at Hillside against Olivia and the other Canton girls. Olivia finds out that Bops told Jenny the truth about their phone call, while Rachel and Keisha take a bus to try and make it to the competition on time. Back at the loft, Joon, Gus, and Mo figure out how to stream the Hillside competition online.
Jenny hurts herself during her floor routine and must decide if beating Olivia is worth the risk of worsening the injury. Meanwhile, there is discontent among the Canton team as some of the girls begin to question Olivia’s leadership. Back at the loft, Joon brings over Dace, Paul, and Kiko to help fix the TV and cheer Jenny on.
