Wokeish' teenage alien superhero origin story, making a valiant attempt to appear NOT wokeish', while borrowing EVRY clichéd trope from the superhero origin handbook, including, whiney "Why me, I don't want these powers, I just want to fit in" rants, (said NO ONE EVER who would somehow gain superhero powers) clueless parents, mysterious superhero mentor, bog standard menacing bad guy, and of course let's not forget the requisite "Scooby Gang" with competing romantic interests, and just for kicks, unrequited teenaged lesbian love, as well as the checklist "United Colors of Benetton" cast.

At least they have ACTUAL teenagers cast as the teenagers they are playing, instead of young looking 20-30ish actors. Nothing extraordinary, but, par for the course CW fare. I'll prolly keep watching till it invariably "jumps the shark".

It made me curious. I don't know anything about this character, but I've got interested.

I hope the changes they made to the story in this pilot will pay of the end. Too early to tell

This episode was slow and boring and all over the place for a CW show. And what's the deal referencing Superman? Maybe the next episode will be a lot better.

Way better than I've expected from a CW show! I'll keep watching!

I thought this show would be complete teeny bopper trash, and it seemed to be headed in that direction, but somewhere in the middle it got interesting. I know it's been cancelled and it's definitely not great material, but it's curious enough to keep going... so "don't believe everything you think" seems appropriate.
