Apart from that, the attempt to make her look less geeky was also pretty bad. She doesn't get a reference to Terminator? You don't have to actually have seen the movies to get that reference - not having grown up in a cave is enough. I for example haven't read Moby Dick - I still get a "white whale" reference.
