Fed up with city living? Ready for a change? New House, New Life takes one city-weary couple and shows them how great life could be in a new home surrounded by nature's beauty. On each episode, our city dwellers travel to such stunning locales as the mountains of Colorado, the lakes of Montana, the horse farms of Tennessee, Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Napa Valley, Calif., and more. They'll look at three homes and decide if they're ready to "drop out" and live in more tranquil surroundings. Everyone dreams of a new house, but are they ready for a new life?

The Amador family is ready to leave the stress of city life in Chicago for the tranquility of New Mexico. Joaquin, who grew up fishing in New Mexico, is excited to move back to his roots, while Chicago-native wife Cristina has her hesitations. Their search for a new home will offer a look at a very unique style of homes, with amazing views and landscape surrounding them. They hope to enjoy the outdoors, find privacy from neighbors, and escape the city crowds.

Allison Sabia has accepted a dream promotion with her company, but with that comes a move from Long Island, NY to Colorado. Along with her husband and two kids, these native New Yorkers are trading in the rat race, for a wide open space, but will these city slickers be able to adjust to their new lifestyle?

Jen Krause, is trading in her corporate office to be a cruise director aboard her and her boyfriend's very own chartered yacht. Backdrop? Water Island, a mile from St. Thomas in the Caribbean. This senior director at one of the Big 4 accounting firms is leaving behind 12-hour work days, a staff of 150 and a stellar 11-year career to travel among 600 islands with wedding guests, vacationers, adventurers and maybe even people like herself who want to escape the trappings of life. Robb Smith, calls himself a water baby. Born on an island off Tampa, Florida, Robb thrives on the open seas. This Merchant Mariner has tried his hand at various business ventures, but the sea keeps calling and he's tired of ignoring it. He'll be the captain of this 60-foot vessel which has yet to be purchased. It will be both Jen's and his house and their floating business!

After working non-stop for nearly two decades near the concrete jungle of Chicago, Jim Boyne is ready for a change. Lawyer turned Financial Executive, Jim has dedicated his life to the world of investment management and money, but at the cost of spending time with his family and watching his kids grow up. As the saying goes, money truly does not buy happiness. In a moment of serendipity, Jim sees a job posting for the Executive Director of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. The not-for-profit mentors youth in sports and instills lessons in leadership and team effort. Jim takes on the job of CEO as the club sends off its latest athletes to the Sochi Olympics. So, the Chicago couple uproot their family during the school break in search of a new home located ten minutes from the ski slopes.
