Maria's mother Kerstin tells her story about her daughter's childhood, the relationship with the father and the difficult decision to leave out Mary to a foster home.
In continuation of Section 2 of the settlers we meet Abdi aunt Fowsia. She tells us more about how Abdi left Somalia as a child to have a better life in Sweden but how mourning family at home instead led him to start drinking as a teenager.
Anders has not lived in the apartment since 1995. Here, the mother Marianne about Anders grew up as a mischievous boy and strict father. What started with petty crimes in his teens led to several prison sentences, and even if Anders and Marianne had poor contact through the years, she never lost hope of his son.
Anna started with heroin was 18 years old when she went to live with an addict. Her big brother Emil talks about their upbringing, how Anna had difficulty following rules that small, placement in foster care, homelessness and how she was near death when another girl tried to poison her.
Dennis mom Mia talks about her son's childhood and how he was retiring and did not want to be the focus of the school. It was only when he started drinking he became somebody, but it led him only into harder drugs. Now Dennis strives to become a good father and role model for her two sons.

Bellas storasyster Rebecca berättar om uppväxten med en styvpappa som misshandlade dem både psykiskt och fysiskt. Som 13-åring fick Bella nog och hon rymde hemifrån. Drogerna tog då över hennes liv och hon försörjde sig genom personråd och bedrägerier.
Jim började knarka i högstadiet och dömdes för misshandel som 19-åring. Här berättar hans storebror Jonnie om uppväxten i radhusområdet med två missbrukande föräldrar och Jims skuldkänslor över misshandeln.
