7x01 Hyperion Heights

Hmm, I think this is gonna be a good season. New faces gave new ideas to the show it seems. We'll see.. Spoiler ----> (/) But I don't like the idea of Regina turned to Roni (/).

I didn't dislike it as I thought I would. So far so good, we'll see...

I liked ouat up until the previous season, while most people already seemed to have grown tired of this show. I was curious to see this reboot but man did it turn out awfully. The writing is bad, the casting is bad, the story is just season 1 all over again. Most importantly: the magic is gone. While I was hooked on this show since the very first episode, for the first time I’m just not into it. Maybe this new story still needs to develop itself so I’ll give it a couple more episodes.

We were excited about the new season (we love this show) but damn this has to be the weakest episode we’ve ever seen in the series. Weak writing, poor story telling, horrible casting, terrible acting (by new characters), and a lazy approach to the shift in the story.

I wish this wasn’t the case, like I said...we love this show.

Will give it couple of more episodes...If not, time to move on.

There are so many things wrong and/or out of character in this episode. Why wouldn't Emma be at Regina's side when Henry leaves Storybrooke? Why would Henry leave his mothers behind in the first place, when he has only one magic bean and no way to get back? That's total madness. How is Henry's bike still driving, where does he get his fuel? And don't get me started on the whole Henry instalove thing. Jeez.

Once upon a time there was a lonely grown up man who let an unknown little girl into his house and everyone was cool with it.

Regina was who she was because of her past, because of everything she's been through. She was one of the most interesting and complex characters I have ever seen on any tv-show. Destroying that now by making her Roni just feels wrong.

not a bad comeback, so far they didnt ruined it.... but i got an issues with the race change of cinderella. isnt that also some kind of "racism" ?

Can't wait! We better get Dr Facilier and more Maleficent and lots of the repunzal characters along with every new character and we better get lots of returning characters like Ariel and Jiminy and Ruby and Blue and granny and The mad hatter etc

Some-what confusing to have alternate versions of Regina and Hook. While the evil Step-mom is totally Regina in season 1 all over again. While Henry not believing in magic is Emma in season 1.
I suppose Henry's memory was wiped so bad that he didn't even think of Regina when he met the bartender who looks exactly like her.
Still, I am more into this unnecessary season than I thought I would be.

Almost didn't place Fiona from, "Burn Notice..." because she's a bad-guy. But, we don't know for sure who's the bad-guy.

Good background noise and that’s about it.

So this soft reboot episode was really not that great. The new characters are all very unnecessary and it just doesn't feel like Once anymore. The magic's gone.
Nevertheless I'm going to watch this final season to the very end.
