I am very frustrated that Claire didn’t play the paradox card: with Randall dead, Frank doesn’t exist, Claire doesn’t marry him, they don’t travel to Scotland together and she doesn’t go back in time in the first place. Jesus Christ, just explain that to Jamie and stop all this unnecessary drama.

what was the point of this episode even? Claire could have simply told him, if jamie kills randal now, frank wont exist and claire wouldn't be here. I hate the unnecessary drama

Claire got entangled in the grandfather paradox. Though mayb trying to prevent events she believes have to happen in order for Frank to be born may have the opposite result? I understand Jamie's reaction though I guess that Claire should have told him that in a sense it is thanks to Frank that they met because she travelled in time on a holiday with Frank. This might have been received differently by Jamie. On the other hand, it seems a bit heartless of Claire to try to ensure that Mary marries Black Jack as she knows he is a monster and Mary is very senistive, especially after what she had suffered. It is not very probable that this would be a happy marriage.

On the more positive note, is it just me or does Jamie really look like Merry Brandybuck in some shots?

What a horrible thing to ensure a woman ends up with a known abuser. Your husband’s existence isn’t more important than a woman’s safety.
