I missed Claire and Jamie but this was still a really good episode. I would have liked to have seen Aunt Jenny, oh well. I would have also like seeing Brie punch that other mother in the face but again, oh well.

Well, seems all these years later Laoghaire is still as insane and delusional as always. I don't know why, but it always catches me off guard. I always expect her to have wised up or something as time went by. Seems she'll forever be the crazy lady. Trying to have the daughter of the woman you hate burned at the stake is somewhat of an overreaction, though. Thankfully, the cray-cray gene skipped the younger daughter.

I can't help wondering if the women Brie and Roger saved will have an impact on the story going forward and on the future. A sort of butterfly effect, if you will. Specially the woman with the baby. I feel like there's a very good possibility she's an ancestor of his or something of the sort (them having the same last name it's a bit pointless otherwise, since he was willing to help her even before he knew she was a Mackenzie)..

I can't wait to see Jamie's face when he meets Brianna!! So excited.

Why do all the villains of this show have to be such blunt and obvious lunatics?

The parts showing Brianna's bond with Frank were quite moving, and added new depths to both these characters. Brianna seems to be quite a courageous person to undertake the travel through time, she has a lot of resillience. Roger is also pretty determined to find Brianna, so it seems he really loves her and cares for her. He had really bad luck to get on the ship with Bonnet as a captain! Bree was also unlucky to stumble across Laoghaire, who was relatively nice until she went postal after discovering her true identity. Brianna making friends with Laoghaire's youngest daughter was also a really nice part of the episode. As I have lost my father some years ago, I found the plot of Frank and Brienne rather touching.

I'm beyond disappointed how much this episode deviated from the books. Not seeing Jenny again was such a letdown. I wonder if the change was because they couldn't schedule the actress. It was interesting to see another side of Laoghaire, so I guess the story change wasn't all bad.

Also, I felt that Frank talking to Bree before the crash undermined previous scenes between Bree and Claire. It was nice to see Frank again, but I just wish they'd done it differently.
