70 | Ruth and Marty have the most unique interaction in this episode. We already know that Ruth tried to rip off Marty, but instead, Marty made her work for him to do illegal stuff. This episode also portrayed how difficult parents parent their kids in this situation. With Jonah's odd behavior and Charlotte's distrust, Marty and Wendy need to regroup and work harmoniously. We also got nice writing development about the titty club owner. It made more sense that he knew what Marty did when the first time they met. His boss could be a new antagonist for Marty.

Sort of feels like we're in Breaking Bad at an extremely accelerated pace. I still quite like what I'm seeing, but there's some questions that I raise.

It was unreasonable to assume that we would be able to sustain the level of intensity Ozark hit us with in the first couple episodes, but I do wish there was just a bit more drive to some of this.

"Yeah, but what if he's that... you know, that strange beautiful kid who... one day goes and shoots up a high school?"

That's How It All Starts
