I heard about this Peaky Blinders series from one of my pals. Let me complete the other series I'm watching first, so bear with me. I'll stay here and watch the remaining episodes of the Peaky Blinders series now that I'm done, as my friend suggested. I recently finished the first season, however I'll be honest: it was a little monotonous from the very beginning to the last few episodes. However, after the last episode, I'm only hoping that the rest of the season will be more fascinating.
Apart from the romance, I loved it.

It is a bit over stylized and is filled with way too much incident. There are almost no character moments that aren't part of earthshaking revelations. There are season finale moments 2-3 times per episode with nothing smaller to make the big moments feel big. If every moment is hugely consequential, then none of them are. I don't have a great sense of the characters after the first season because there are never moments that are just there to develop the characters or give some perspective. I appreciate that the season is only 6 episodes, but it needed to either have less going on or be expanded out to 10 episodes.

this season was more than i could ask for! the story and how it all connected. it was beautiful. i just hated the end though!!
