There are parts where I feel they are better and stronger, and show real drama and conflicts between the characters, as well as Tommy's self loathing from a further worsened PTSD, sending him into a downward spiral he can't control. That's what he wants, he can't stand the silance, he needs to keep playing, like if it's russian roulette. He feels alive when he's figuring out how to dodge the bullets, but he's pulling everyone and everything with him. Polly and Ada are settled I think, Michael and Finn are about to rebel, and Arthur might be redeemable (I really like him and his arc in the entire series with the exception of faking his death), but Tommy? He's in hell since the war, he never left it, and can't do anything else to cope. Moments like these when I feel the show is at it's strongest. And there are other moments where I have no idea how they thought that it's a good idea to embrace melodrama and soap opera twists. The music is excellent though.

Was every single Scottish actor otherwise engaged? That accent was abysmal . . .
