Love this ep. What a great way to provide background and advance the current plot. Seeing Finch's first 'helper monkey' (Root's words not mine) and the parallels of his character to Reese's. Seeing Reese defying orders that didn't sit right. Early Shaw! And getting that final piece in the puzzle between the laptop in ordos China and the machine. Brilliant.
Bonus enigmatic Root at the end too.

i wasn't expecting this at all, i liked the way it explained a couple of things that were bugging me. i had a feeling the laptop going to china wasn't finch's doing. i smiled when best girl root showed up at the end, and again i wish they had done more with kara stanton instead of killing her off
