20 episodes was a little too long. Maybe it wouldn't have dragged so much if they'd made it the usual 16 episodes. Also, I don't find revenge plots to be very entertaining, so that could have been an important factor as to why I was bored at times while watching this.
I liked the main couple. They're both great actors and had good chemistry. A lot of the supporting characters were quite fun, too. Huge cast in this one.
The OST, which tends to be a huge part of dramas, was completely unmemorable. So, if the same song playing each and every episode is something you find annoying, this is the drama for you! I don't even know if this show has a specific OST (though I assume it does).
Random thoughts I have while watching:
I must say, this guy has two of the best father figures ever. My heart.
Just me nitpicking though, but when unwrapping his bandage, it was funny to see the top layer have a spot of blood, but the second layer that was supposed to actually touch the wound, was white and clean like new; and also, the extras were unrealistic in some cases e.g. when a crazy anchor lady, looking crazy, starts screaming at the top of her lungs in an enclosed place with many others around, having no one glance her way once and continue their own business uninterrupted like she was in a glass box, completely blocked off from them, made the scene feel entirely off (and this is just one of a few examples I could recount with weirdly unresponsive extras).
Also, the main actor had two separate dramas where his love interest did the bandage on a forehead wound thing. Is that common in dramas?
It's a melodrama and a great story with great characters, but sometimes, they seriously milk a scene for everything it's worth and exaggerate the emotions to an unnatural extent that just leaves me blinking. It makes me wonder, what can't they sacrifice, cry or make a scene about in a drama? Love it anyway though. Been moving from crying from either laughter or misery like a see-saw the entire time.
My favorite part is that a small child is the older brother of a 30+ year old man. The reason is heartwarming. Hehe she has to call him Uncle
Still enjoyed the re-watch after an year and now i have watched other shows by same cast and familiar with their style to be not repulsed like the first time.
Gripping story and has good twists but at times slow paced filled with lots of jokes.
Emotional touch was missing from half-way after reconciliation....
The Idea of revenge is too weak ..as the main character is never too into it....
Pinocchio on the surface is about a bunch of reporters who learn what reporting is truly all about
Park Shin-hye delivers a good performance while Lee Jong-suk looked goofy throughout but has good performances at critical junctures.
The entire drama relied way too much on coincidences but the leads and side characters were terrific and the plot kept me intrigued, so it made for a great watch anyway~~

I've never seen so many hilarious, heartbreaking, tense scenes packed into one kdrama. One second you're laughing and the next you're in tears. The two leads really carry the story well which isn't hard since it's a well-written one! See for yourselves ^^
