Who could handle a job like that – even thrive on the challenge and the adrenaline rush? Every member of a professional racing pit crew, that’s who. This Canadian series takes you inside the world of those people who keep a NASCAR racing machine on the oval; a hydroplane on the water, a motorcycle on the track. It’s one of the highest-pressured, most exciting environments anyone can imagine, and it’s a lifestyle for those who choose it.

Welcome to the adrenaline-fuelled world of NASCAR and the people who keep the cars on the oval. High pressure, high excitment, they have 17 seconds or less to jack up a car, change four tyres, fill the tank, check the oil, wipe the windows and get back on the road. This first episode of the series follows the Hendricks Motorsport #5 Kellogg's car, driven by Kyle Bush, a 21-year-old up-and-comer. This team enters the race in fifth place at Michigan, and exits in a very different position.

This is the American Motorcycle Association, the most prestigious road race series in North America. Team Honda's impressively fast superbike has had good results, ridden by a Canadian ex-pat, now living in Las Vegas, Miguel Duhamel, son of the very successful road racer, Yvon Duhamel. The pit crew is hoping this weekend they will be able to continue the charge to first place, but there are some challenges facing them.

Ever heard a stadium filled with 60,000 screaming fans? Supercross riders ride flat out on a demanding circuit of jumps, double jumps, whoops and tabletops. The Montreal Supercross is the biggest show of the series and the pit crew of Team Blackfoot Suzuki knows the stakes are high as they battle the tension of maintaining their status as the team to beat.

The beauty of Champ Car is illustrated by the superior team work of its pit crews. At the Molson Indy in Toronto, the crew that makes it happen for Forsythe Racing is a well-oiled machine. With Paul Tracy driving the car, this pit crew has their hands full, literally and emotionally.

Drag racing is over in less than 10 seconds and reaches terrifying land speeds. Fans love it because the race begins during the day, and continues until one team is left standing, no matter how long that takes. Pit crews work continuously throughout the day; the Team Paton Top Fuel pit crew works hard and fast and they know that a single mistake will not only end the day, but will endanger the driver.

This is the very last race of the Canadian Superbike series. The stakes are high, and strategy is everything in the race for the podium, in this very close points standing series. The Suzuki National team has the one of the most skilled pit crews, but battling bad weather is one thing they can't control.

Between each run, pit crews completely rebuild the engine, and none are more skilled than the Brut Funny Car pit crew under the legendary racer turned crew chief, Indy Hall-of-Famer Ed McCulloch.

The buzz about truck racing has become so big that the pit crew of Bill Davis Racing has just learned that their new driver will be the world reknowned Canadian, Jacques Villeneuve. With international attention on this pit crew, the pressure is on to perform to perfection.

This is exciting new motorcycle endurance series is the first of its kind in North America. To be successful, a winning team requires a quick-thinking pit crew with loads of stamina that can face the challenge of two riders. The San Jose BMW pit crew will need to learn to work together to pull their team out their current dismal twelfth place standing.
