Well, that was a pleasant surprise. The barbarity of 19th century "medicine" mixed with a Jane Austen like view of the womans position in society all n an amusing (but not laugh out loud) package.
It's a pretty easy stretch to imagine some of the men of the time are well represented. Arrogant, entitled, needy, and just a little stupid.
I don't think it is a program for binge watching, but nicely enjoyable.
