I don't get people complaining about Dion being "annoying." He's an 8 year old child, for god's sake. What were you expecting? Of course he's going to react the way any normal child would react when faced with scary or unusual circumstances. If you can't comprehend this simple fact, then this show is not for you. Also, don't ever have children, please.
As for the show, I loved it. I loved that, while one can say that it is a "superhero show," the main protagonist of the story is Dion's relationship with his mom. Alisha Wainwright was absolutely FANTASTIC and Ja'Siah was great for being such a young actor. Their dynamic felt so natural, it was a joy to watch their scenes together.
I came for the superhero bits, and I stayed for the compelling story and the beautiful bond between a mother and her child.
Ja siah is annoying enough to almost make us stop watching this series..all other actor's are great and storyline is well done. Just that kid .is to much over the top and frustrating
I like the different view point, decent acting overall, good plot twists. Looking forward to watching season 2
If your looking for a great adventure, Your better off going to bed and hoping to have an awesome Dream.
As an avid Sci-Fi fan who loves shows n movies like, Star Trek, The Expanse, Alien, Star Wars, Etc and your someone of the same nature, I don't believe this will hit the spot for you!... Not Recommended, Sorry!
I’m halfway through it and it’s an okay series....
The editing is a bit erratic and sometimes jumps to new scenes with no thought or planing.
The kid that plays Dion, just can’t act and you just end up finding the character annoying.....
The CGI is outstanding and the true star of the show.....
was somewhat disappointed. Production was lacking in many episodes. Felt like a CW show. Dion comes across as annoying.
Very disappointing show. The drama is so bad, it's melodrama. One would wonder why this kind of TV show gets out, with poor sci-fi, poor drama, poor writing.
I couldn't finish it, which is a rarity for me. Out of the four episodes I watched there were only a handful of scenes that were interesting and the rest just bored me so bad that I forgot I had it on at one point and just got up and went to the restroom. The story has some interesting bits but you have to get through the rest of it and you have to deal with what is quite possibly the most annoying cast of characters all lumped together in one place. The mother is annoying. The friends are all annoying. The doctor/sister/whatever was just straight up rude. The obvious bad guy is annoying. The most annoying one, however, is the main kid. Wow, his voice is like nails on a chalkboard. He whines everything. He whines while screaming, which does a lot. He's demanding and spoiled. His mother is self-obsessed so the kid is just obnoxious and, quite frankly, a bit of a bully to his family. This is not a character I want to invest 5 mins in much less 10 hrs. I know some have mentioned that it's the kid's acting that makes the character horrible, but either way, the final product is not at all appealing.
I looked up the plot when I decided to give up on it and [spoiler]I was right about all my guesses on where it was going. There were some bits that were interesting, like the storm itself, but the whole "dead guy's super nice bestie is actually evil" arc of the human bad guy is overdone. Who cares if something is posing him? There are better directions than something so obvious that you can call it the moment the guy walks on screen, especially when he's one of the bigger names in the cast. Honestly, read a breakdown of what happens and move on. There are better shows/movies out there that won't make you regret your time spent watching them.[/]
I enjoyed the show a'lot honestly so much I went and read the comics the show is based off of. Dion particular powers reminded me of Franklin Richards son of Mr Fantastic and Invisible Woman so it was like being able to see another version of a omega level mutant but on TV which to us comic book nerds was pretty cool. I liked the story and the plot twist and look forward to season 2. My favorite part of the whole show though was Dion's best friend in the wheel chair, her presence in the show made everything better I feel without her there would be a huge lack of growth in Dion's character. On a personal level I love how they explore the struggles of having to be a single mother raising a son, especially a black son I like how they touch the subject of subtle racism; also how they show how us a culture have to be taught from a young age how to combat these type of things without holding hatred in our hearts. Overall I believe it was a great show.
I liked it overall, for the story and some sense of novelty, but I can’t see away from how many tropes and cringe-worthy moments there were in this. Enjoyed the “big reveal”, but all in all it felt a little hasty and exaggerated.
This could be an ok show. Too many irritating factors going on and people. Seems like Pat is gonna try and take credit or give Dion up for his own good but I'm only on #6. I also think I want to take Dion and whoop his tail.

Really cool show...interesting perspective of being a superhero from a 7 year old kid! The acting is great and the cgi is cool. Already looking forward to season 2.
