Ravan is visibly shaken, when the news of Kumbhakaran's death reaches him. Indrajit wants to go to the battlefield, but his brothers Atitkaya, Devantak, Narantak and Trishira insist that they will go first. Atikaya challenges Lakshman. A terrible fight follows.
