Reign 2013

Amazing first season and overall great show, even though it lost itself a bit during the second season with a lot of uninteresting plots and characters. However, the finale wraps things up nicely and really builds the hype towards a promising third season. You shouldn't care if they respect the history or not, this show is incredibly fun.

Why people keep whining about Reign not being historically accurate is beyond me, I mean, come on people, Reign is what we call an "adaptation" made for television, it's not meant to be in a literary sense.
It's underrated & deserves more credit, to be honest, It tells a really interesting modern day twist on daily decisions the real "Mary, Queen of Scots" may have gone through in her short time as a Queen.

Personally, I love it, I think all the actors have each held their own and all put their stamp on each of the series. I have a feeling this may be the last one, I hope not, I'll sure miss this show when it's finally finished, will be keeping an eye out for the BluRay releases.

This show had way too much drama in it for my liking. I think the first season was cool, the second was okay, the third and fourth were dreadful. Truly hate this love triangle that is used in way too many shows. Maybe I outgrew the series when the fourth season came out, but this is clearly aimed at teenage girls and I lost interest. Only kept watching to see if they would behead Mary like they did in history . Glad it got cancelled.

I was waiting for something more like the tudors. Except the history inaccuracies, which i don't really mind,because it's a show and i watch for fun,there are some other details that i dont really like for a show which shows things from another era. What's wrong, really, with all the prom-like dresses and the teenage drama music and songs? I may be the weirdo here but when i watch a historical show i at least expect to see the right clothing and the right atmosphere. Anyway it dissapointed me a little but it's okay to watch.

Maybe not for my age group, I stopped midway season 1. Performances did not fascinate me, and the pacing of the story was too soapie for me. Plot seemed utterly familiar to other teen dramas but set in a different time period. Unfortunately I started watching this show for the nature that I enjoy Elizabethan Era novelties but this is a very loose historic fiction. It does surprise me that others enjoy this show so I guess I would recommend to young female teenagers.

If you regard it as a soap/drama loosely based on historic events it's thoroughly enjoyable. If you are hoping for a realistic history don't bother :). I for one am glad we get anther season.
My one real complaint would be that pretty much all the actors - be it male or female - are the same kind of youthful shining doe-eyed pretty. Which make the visuals a little boring at times.

Doesn't respect the history, and i believe that the american audience will think everything in the show did really happen, i doubt this show will succeed in Europe because it ends up insulting the people.

I Call Bullshit, I've followed this show all the way from the very first release and I was looking forward to Bash returning when Mary needed him most, however, with CW axing the show, the makers had to re-work the whole season to try end it a whole season sooner than advertised.

The actors did awesome work and to be honest they too have been let down by the network who axed the show a season to soon, It's a real shame CW never allowed TV-Show to run it's full 5 seasons that was planned, I mean one more season wouldn't have hurt really,.. I was really enjoying the show and looking forward to Bash's return amongst others things.

I totally hate this shit, when Networks Axe shows nearing the end rather than just allowing them to finish... I want to Rant so badly right now... lol... this is very unusual for me, being a Sci-Fi lover at heart.

I really loved the show, wish there was more. Only the fourth season seemed a bit rushed but overall I enjoyed it. Absolutely adored the cast too, especially Adelaide Kane.

Fake. Acting isn't convincing. I am a big time fan of royal movies and shows and this is just not it. Entertaining I must say. I just watch it just to watch it.

Actors beautiful and handsome dresses nice but something ıdk ı couldnt like the plot ıts boring and all about love ı didnt see any war or army thats why ım stopping to watch it

The CW took the template script and placed it in a medieval scenery, and the result is a classic CW teen drama.
Zero historical match, I can see on the costumes that they are made of modern materials and this makes it less enjoyable.
I'm waiting the doppelgangers. Seriously.

Definitely does not hold much accurate historical fiction, but still a fun period piece if you don't mind the classic CW feel (acting isn't the greatest, some of the plot lines come and go, seemingly out of nowhere, etc). Have to admit, the first half of the first season was much more entertaining than the second half, but hopefully it can regain some balance in the second season.

The show is a good watch. I agree with the other posters that the acting can lack at times, however, the family all sits to watch this at once so its ok in my book

The acting is not always the best along with some of the sets, but it's still an enjoyable show.

Reign 13 Rules, along with Vampire Movies and All Medieval Movies.

The acting isn't convincing at times. The music doesn't always fit the scenes and sometimes ruins the atmosphere. Still entertaining enough to watch, though I feel it's a bit of a chickflick.

It's a tad predictable and the clothing doesn't exactly fit with the times, especially the women's clothes but it is a fun watch. Just don't expect the same quality of production as Tudors. Perhaps it might improve with better funding in season 2.

Its fiction and I like it as a show though I'd rather have them not use real historical characters in their cast so that it can move freely without confusing fiction from fact.
