There's been lots of talk of feelgood comedies during the pandemic, and this show is right up there for good natured nonsense with Schitt's Creek and Ted Lasso. Really enjoyed the finale, although I don't understand the motive behind the opening scene with the murder.

It was a good first season. It started off very funny but became less funny often.
I like the kid. I hope he is still a regular in season 2. I'd like the Deputy to be the sheriff. Get rid of the Sheriff.
Those people are supposedly highly-trained military operatives but they had their asses handed to them by a soccer mom and the mayor. It was funny and I get they were enraged as parents but still. Surely they would have known the father could come home anytime, and that woman would not give up so easily.
Also did I miss something or did they just not bother to explain how Asta and Max wound up in the warehouse with the spaceship? I saw Max called but that’s it?

Did she really have to push the dude's car downhill into oncoming traffic ? Like I get you wanna destroy his property ... but why risk murdering innocent people at the same time. That's just some psychotic plot writing.
This show started off great then lost its way somewhere 2/3rds of the way into season 1.
The season finale was OK.
I think they should trim the season 2 by a few episodes in order to avoid filler episodes.

Overall, it's a great ending to a mixed season. Tudyk is an absolutely amazing actor, but the others are mostly loveable too. I love the dinamic between the Sheriff and the Deputy. I think the writers made some poor choices with the story throughout the season, but i can't angry at them, because most of the punchlines were hilarious. I am looking forward to the next season.

Overall, I think it might be the best episode. It was pretty well written, showcasing Asta's tell when she hugs The Alien and the kid using the phone as a GPS to track the base. Now the only problem is that I don't know how will Alan Tudyk appear in the next season. I guess, we are not gonna The Alien's planet yet, and he'll go back to earth. And, I'll be honest, I actually thought that Harry could've killed the town doctor, but didn't think so because no one in the town really seem to know him before the alien came.
