Dr. Who crossed with Ren and Stimpy. This is the best and my overall favorite show now. I love how they parody the greatest shows of all time, like when they redone a Stargate SG-1 episode. I agree with @novulon I can rewatch these episodes multiple times, and still get Swifty.
A damn smart show that's constantly hilarious and packed with fantastic characters.

Best Animation Comedy Show Since "King Of The Hill" stopped airing new episodes when Brittany Murphy unfortunately passed away so suddenly near the end of Season 13. She died 5 months before the final 4 episodes aired.

I thought this show must be overrated, and I usually don't enjoy animated stuff at all. But it is not only the best animated series I've seen, it's also an absolute masterpiece in itself. 10/10 without a doubt, and not a single episode is bad.

If you're not sure, give it some time. By 3 episodes in, I was HOOKED! It's super intelligent, lots that you can miss if you're not paying attention. It riffs on other great shows - the references are killer. The ecosystem they build is recursive; something will feel like a throwaway comment and it will come back much later. Great show for those that love no limits, off the wall, intelligent comedy.

Wow... no. I mean, what was that? Episode 1 of season 6 is one of the most confusing and boring episodes of Rick and Morty ever! As a lame bridge between episodes....maybe. But as a season starter it is absolutely sub-par.

Rick and Morty manage to be an original piece while being based on Back to the Future. In an age where most TV shows manage to struggle to keep it generically entertaining, Rick and Morty give us what could be the equivalent of Absurd Comedy mixed with Dark Humor and a hint of gratuitous violence and it became one of the most successful cartoons for adults of the 2010s. Its humor is bold, gruesome at times, hilarious fart jokes at medium and some deep questions that make your skin crawl at best. This is the type of show where the viewer chooses what kind of they want themselves to be, if you wish to watch the show just for the absurdism of their adventure, that is great, watching just for the fart jokes and references? also great! One can even watch Rick and Morty paying attention to its philosophical equivalent theories of what they debate on each episode.
In the end, Rick and Morty is the go-to cartoon for grown-ups.

This show is beautiful. Just when you think it's getting crude or wacky it'll hit you with some real cosmic truths. FANTASTIC music selection on a handful of episodes too.
After watching Futurama i was lost for awhile, but stumbling upon Rick and Morty the adventures start yet again.
Can't believe how great this show is. It isn't often I discover a show so awesome that I wait all week for the next episode to air. It is even less often that a show like that is a cartoon! Most surprisingly this show is the one show besides "Dragon Ball Super" that I never ever forget to count down every day for. Love it, love everything about it. Rick is hilarious, even Morty is hilarious pretty often & I can't wait for the next episode I hope it is as hilarious as every single episode before it has been! Also season 2 has been as amazing or even better than season 1 so far, a scenario that doesn't often happen with tv shows especially "adult" cartoons. :)
Everything until season 7 is great.
Darker and more emotionally weighted than previous seasons, tackling heavy themes like fear, suicide and revenge while still being as pointedly funny and satirical as ever.
Despite a couple weak episodes, season 7 managed some clever twisting of sci-fi conventions, fun callbacks and a new replacement voice cast that seemlessly took over for the main roles.
A rare gem that could make creative use of the boundless opportunities offered by science (fiction) concepts and the acknowledgment of multiple dimensions and infinite planets. While the narrative ventures into overwhelmingly extravagant territories, it consistently grounds itself in relatable experiences and mundane human dilemmas. The abnormous amount of meta references and movie quotes is also a trademark of the show, although this abundance may border on the tedious at times.
Initially starting with a relatively coherent linear narrative, the shift to a more episodic structure in the fourth season coincided with a perceived decline in writing quality. Despite the occasional solid episodes, the overall seasons tend to be somewhat of a mixed bag, contributing to a sense of inconsistency in the show's trajectory.

This show is dead to me. I really don't care who they replace Justin Roiland with as a scab for cancel culture: nah.
Justin Roiland's charges were thrown out of court, in March of 2023. I've read several suspicious, "tweets," which seem to lend credibility to the idea he possibly had licentious social media communications with Trans individuals, IF the tweets were not spoofed, and, IF They are correct that that type of communication went on with others.
In the wake of what I have learned about the extent and capabilities of the U.S. government's, "wire tapping," of all Internet traffic and collection of meta-data, AND the sharing of that data to State and Local agencies for the purposes of prosecution, IF there was anything illegal they'd be able to prove it.
I don't believe Justin Roiland deserves to be cancelled anymore than Ezra Miller.... To be clear, neither deserve to be cancelled!
FYI: F-bombs and cuss words are bleeped on Hulu, but not on (HBO) Max.
Don't let my rating fool you - this is pretty much a review of the first three seasons, since the fourth season (and I'm assuming the other seasons) was one of the worst TV viewing experiences I could have imagined. "Rick and Morty" was a fun experiment in creativity, slight edginess, and wacky animation for adults, but over the years it has clearly lost what made it so charming in the beginning. This isn't necessarily a funny show, which is wild because it clearly tries to make jokes and lay out humorous situations. If you watch it for its crazy animation and creative situations, you'll get a lot out of this show. However, it has started to devolve into the "random" humor territory that "Uncle Grandpa" exists in, and that's exactly the last thing that I wanted this show to become. It can be stupid fun for a bit, but the more you watch, the more you realize that it's just...stupid. This reason alone has killed any interest I had in the series and its future.

(=) Original writing that unfortunately utilizes far too many random plot devices in later seasons

Rick's eloquence subtly sprinkled with burps is a real delight.
I was really interested to see what all the fuss was about but ended up bitterly disappointed, dropping it after only six episodes. Just not for me, I guess.
FYI: HBO leaves the cuss words in, Hulu bleeps them.

The fanbase is kinda cringey, and it isn't "THE BEST SHOW EVAR XD !!!!!!11!!!!1!ONE!!" but it is fun to watch. Yes, the third season isn't as good as the first two, but It's not a bad season.
My one true love is this show
Started watching in Q4 2017.
Season One: 8.0. What a unique concept for a show. Every episode is so creative, which is what I like about it so much. However, that can also be its downfall because its creativeness can get a little too weird at some points, making me start to cringe and lose interest. I appreciate more of the character moments as opposed to a planet of butt’s farting for whatever reason. I love Rick, Morty, and the Dad so much. The season was so incredibly memorable, and I hope the seasons continue to impress me in the future :) Just no more episodes like the TV one, because that one pissed me off. Why do I want to spend an entire episode watching other people watch TV? Oh right, to see how creative the Rick and Morty people are.
Really enjoyable but better enjoyed by yourself so you don't have obnoxious people screaming out quotes from the show. Truly its fans are cringey enough to confront you in the streets if you're wearing a slogan tee.

Honestly, when I watched it for the first time, I was so disgusted by the burp sounds Rick was making. Now, I just got too desensitized about it. Haha. the only thing I like about it, it's sci-fi comedy and it will make you think.

I fell in love with this series first season, but have to say, second season is not as great as the first. Still good but not as good.
Well, have only watched some episodes, but it's setting the bar pretty high. Really rich characters and the other worlds and creatures are always exciting and creative. Story also hasn't failed for me as of now. This might be the best example of an adult animated tv show (besides Venture Bros.)
I like this show, but this kind of cartoons that the characters only gets screwed is for me kind of tiring and after so long starts to get annoying, even simpsons sometimes seems repetitive even if its "Excelent" (Mr Burns).
But for an adult comedy cartoon this is a great one, it's really funny from some really weird situations, the only part that didn't really like are the voices some times but nothing so horrible.
Can't wait for season 2
