Most meta episode ever?
I loved the shot the writers took at people that want more space adventures like in season 1. "What does that even mean?", lol

This episode was wonderfully executed.

Another R&M episode, another headache. There was a part of me that for some reason had the hope that this second half of the season would be better than the crapshow that was episodes 1-6, but no, Rick and Morty is back and as horribly obnoxious as ever. This one was just so unfocused and annoying, I couldn't stand the meta bullcrap and the fact that the characters can't either isn't endearing, it's just infuriating. Bringing back Story Lord was a bafflingly stupid attempt at critiquing continuity while also just not being very funny. Seeing the fake story Jesus again did sort of make me chuckle, but after a while, the joke just becomes "Wow, I can't believe Jesus really did THAT!". I did enjoy the Previously On gag though, even if it did become a bit overplayed as the episode went on. Introducing those stupid literary terms team guys was so horrible, completely killed the pace for a couple of dumb gags. Overall, this was probably a sign that Rick and Morty will continue down this slippery slop of subpar writing, and that any signs of quality will simply be coincidental.

A sequel to the train episode. Didn’t really like that episode much. The writing in this is good tho, having watched community now I feel like I liked this more than I would have. Very meta, very well written, still kinda disappointing for the first episode back after the break. I want classic Rick and morty adventures… but wtf does that even mean?

writing about stories in which a writer struggles with writing is just lazy writing.

Maybe the best episode of the season so far? It was almost too much with how insanely fast and wild it was, but I really enjoyed it. This is how you pull off meta storytelling, with sharp and clever writing. The meta concept fits really well with a show like Rick and Morty as well, so everything really worked this episode.

This is about as meta as Rick And Morty has ever been. The jokes aren't rip-roaring hilarious, but they do drive home the meta nature of this episode. Well done!

I like the way the screenplay writers are free to release all what they have inside. I think it could be the best episode of the season.

Excellent episode. Tbh, just introducing a character called Previous Leon was enough for me but the whole episode was turned out to be just as inventive.

meh. lazy writing. If you're being meta there must be other stuff that keeps it fun and interesting like abed. The entire plot being 'it's all meta' is stupidly lazy writing.

I didn't expect Joseph Campbell

Weakest episode of the season

Can we talk about the
dash or not dash, that is the question. Storylord's writer says "'dash' set up to fail".
As Rick goes very meta this episode, I looked up Rick-plush dot biz of course, but also rickplush dot biz. But that later one redirects to odditytech tiktok account. I stopped there, no tiktok here... :)
maybe it's just random!

If this is as long as they need to get a good episode out, I won’t mind the wait at all
