I think the biggest failing of this season was the decision to have Jason Blossom be a silent presence, only seen in montage inserts. Jason as an enigmatic figure might have been useful in terms of preserving a sense of mystery, but I still hold that Riverdale wasted an opportunity to do what Veronica Mars did so well in its first season. By having its murder victim be a recurring cast member on the show, appearing in flashbacks and hallucinations, played by an incredibly charismatic and skilled actor (in a speaking part), Veronica Mars gave us a reason to care that went beyond the grief felt by the characters mourning Lilly Kane, it compelled the audience to mourn her as well. Until this brutal denouement, Jason Blossom never felt like a loss to me, and I think he should have.
So a Hiram Lodge's bag is found in a criminal's appartment, but he still gets out of jail? How? Why?
The Coopers were (and technically they still are) Blossoms? Whaaaaaaat!?
Plus, what kind of father would do that? holy shit. This is really a weird episode.
Could they have revealed the the major mystery of the show in any more of an underwhelming way? The entirety of the last 5 minutes was Jughead explaining what happened. This show likes to do a lot of telling and little showing.
I can't do anything more that shake my head at the farfetchedness of this show. Now, not only are the Coopers blood-related to the Blossoms, but Daddy Blossom shot his own son in the head? What? What?
I've said this before, but it's never been truer. This show gets more and more ridiculous with each passing episode.
Also, let's forget the bag full of cash and let Hiram out of jail. We need drama for the season finale! (Although, maybe the writers were just setting things up for next season).
so not only did I tell my roommate who Jason's killer was about 10 episodes ago but I also kept guessing every line of dialogue in this episode and being spot on. ridiculous show is ridiculous.

I really rather they made riverdale more light hearted and closer to the comics. I want to watch a relaxing and inspiring show after a hard days work the way reading archie comics before made me forget my troubles. But i am willing to give this show a chance and hopefully it continues to get better
