There's too much of Archie's hobby of the month and not enough investigating. I desperately want them to solve this Gargoyle King plot by the end of the season, but it still seems to far away and out of reach.
Someone please make me stop watching this. The writing is bad, the plot is bad, I just feel sorry for the actors having to be in this. I just want it to end. I just want this show to be canceled. If not for the viewers, for the actors... They deserve better. We deserve better.
But I have no self control to stop watching, because what I start - I have a compulsive need to finish. I somehow managed to stop watching Shadow Hunters, now I need strenght to stop watching this. Someone curse me out and make me stop.
The previous episode the farm members chase Betty down. Yelling “join us” and trying to force her to join. So of course in this one, Betty went to visit her mom like nothing happened.
This season loves the 90’s. Has stole from Scream, Disturbing Behavior and now I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Chad Michael Murray got to take his shirt off. Probably the moment he was waiting for lol.
I get so annoyed at these people in the comment section. If you don’t like watching this series and just want it to end, well guess what? You don’t have to watch it. I love Riverdale and I feel so sorry for Betty in this episode.
I am so sick of this gargoyle king plotline being rammed down our throats. Betty's dad is the better story here, and the farm, but they mysteriously managed to botch and devolve even those storylines into caricature.
I love how Jughead and Betty, who are just two normal students and not on the council or a committee or anything, are able to just up and change the entire prom theme the day before the prom and that's totally ok and accepted. And they had all the suitable decorations for the theme change ready to go, and all the students were able to get suitable outfits ready at a moment's notice. What the fuck? This is all nonsense.
Funny for me to note, though, that Fire and Ice was the theme of my senior prom. I guess that's a pretty common one.
Speaking of prom, Jughead drew the parallel between the stupid Gospel book and prom out of fucking nowhere. There is absolutely no basis in reality that those two things are related. But of course they are, because that's what this show is.
Pretty sure that Hiram selling Veronica a fake deed would be highly illegal, but seeing as it's her father and the fact that a 16 (now 17) year-old was able to buy property in the first place was always kind of nonsensical, I guess this all cancels out.
"Our walls are strong, and our members stronger." But when you actively tried to prevent Betty from leaving, she was able to get away with little difficulty. If one teenage girl all on her lonesome is able to escape you, I don't think an accomplished serial killer who has escaped prison will be challenged in any way.
Speaking of which, as more than one person has already pointed out in this comments section, why the hell is she able to just walk in and out more than once in this episode, and no one bats an eye?
Such a good episode! So intense and well-acted.
So, last episode Betty barely escapes from the cult, and the second thing she does is goes back to talk with her mom and leaves with no issues? WTF? And now she's going to stay there.
So what, they were able to identify Hal's hand, doesn't mean that he's dead, he had to get out of the handcuff somehow. Besides he only wanted to be transferred after Betty told him Edgar wants to adopt the twins once him and Alice get married. Hal's not going to let that happen. My guess is that Hal will kill Edgar (Yay!) End the cult crap! But wouldn't Hal's wound be way to fresh and painful to have a hook on it? Who were all those dead bodies? On a brighter note, all their renaissance costumes looked great, and Betty, beautiful.
Oh, and one more thing, I would still like to know who it was who went to kill Hiram when Archie shot him/her? That person ran away and I don't remember them saying anything about it.
