A 50 year old grown ass bum fighting a minor teenager in a boxing match. Because apparently that's how business is settled in the town of Riverdale. What even is this series. Embarrassing. Ahahahaha.
A guy at the boxing site puts a coin in an ancient telephone and makes a call... I don't know how more pretentious this show can become.
About the farm, they hyped it so much that the reveal seems so funny and out of place.And... Jason Blossom?? :joy::joy::joy: Ok thank god next week is the finale
They're taking their kidneys...and our brains. So the cringefest continues.
I want to write a long text about how bad Riverdale still is, but I just feel tired watching it. It's so abstruse and random that it really feels like the last seasons of Pretty Little Liars - Completely chaotic with random twists pulled out of a hat. And on top of that we have to deal with such awkward and creepy comments like Hiram and Archie being naked, staring at each other and Hiram saying "There's nothing soft about me." I can only pray Jason or his suddenly appearing twin won't end up being the Gargoyle King because if that does happen then I'm convinced Marlene King is ghost-writing that show.
This season would've been better if they cut out half the episodes... The way they drag out this stupid G&G game, gargoyle king (or whatever this bloody kings name is) and the farm plot lines disgust me. It has been sooo extremly boring to watch, I've wanted to quit so many times but being this far in, I need closure... and in this episode there's finally some progress.
Honestly I've only liked the first season. I wish they did shorter seasons and tried to focus on better plot lines and quality, rather than this shitty quantity of stupid plots nobody cares for. Archie boxing, why? This drama in the Lodge family, it's like they're trying the same thing over and over. They're a family, then they hate each other and want to ruin each other, then they love each other again, and then the parents try to kill each other. I just... why the heck. Stop. Boring. And that, what was that girls name, Josie? Getting it on with Archie? Heavens sake... And the writing has been so bad. I cringe everytime someone says endgame. Probably a hell of a lot more they could've cut out. but thank God I don't remember everything. After the next episode, I'll try to forget, and maybe pause this show and wait for the whole next season to come out, and see if people say it's any better... or if it has just gotten worse - which I predict it will, but one can hope it goes back to the way it was in the first season.
So far in this season, 1/10. This episode however, I guess a solid 6/10. Still very problematic, but so much better than the other episodes this season.
How come Jughead and his mum and dad tried to hold up the diner like 2 episodes ago and none of them got in trouble for it? Betty sleuthing around the farm was great. And Veronica singing ‘Daddy Issues’ while her dad beats Archie half to death in an illegal boxing match was :asterisk_symbol:chef kiss:asterisk_symbol:
This was the first episode this season that brought back some of that tension from season 1. The new improved Black Hood complete with hook hand and all is terrifying and reminds me of the killer in the movie 'I know what you did last summer'. Finally a clear lead to where this Gargoyle King plot is going, I thought for sure it was going to lead to one of the parents but Jason Blossom is a really nice touch and I would love to see him back. However this still means that there is another Gargoyle King out there from when the parents all played the game, or did they resolve that already? I can't keep up with all of the different Kings they already threw at us.
The Farm needs to end now. It's like they keep throwing new plot ideas to up the creep factor of the Farm at us but it's not really helping and how Edgar would get Polly to mindf*ck her own sister.. must be some very powerful hypno therapy.Either way, I'm glad Cheryl snapped out of it and Tony is out, now let's hope this storyline end with the season finale.
