It's weird how Riverdale consistently confuses me... What was this episode?

I know Riverdale isn't famous for making sense but this is a new low, what the actual fuck was this?!
So, what... the writers regretted their decision to have Hiram plant a bomb so they backtracked, invented a whole new town and decided the entire past 5 seasons were a dream? This is beyond ridiculous! They really need to just let this show die instead of trying to turn it into The Twilight Zone.
It is time to end this show...
Per usual I have no idea what I just watched. Let's sum some things up;
So we are in Rivervale now, probably some dream because the bomb under Archie's bed did in fact go off and he is now in a comatose state or something. Still, Rivervale and the town is even crazier than usual. We have Doc Curdle who is now seemingly the doctor for literally any problem you might have, babies and baby making and also dead bodies. Cheryl managed to shorten another name (TAB-TAB?!) and is in full on crazy mode. Everyone is in full on crazy mode AND the writers found ANOTHER way to kill (but probably not really kill) Archie frickin Andrews. This time Cheryl makes a tiny incision and takes his heart with seemingly zero effort. The boy fought a bear but Cheryl does it... If only Hiram knew. He could've hired her.

this is sooooooo dark and twisted and an absolute banger of an episode i am obsessed with this direction even if it’s only temporary!!!!!

So this is how they can get around any continuity errors or nonsensical things - set it in an alternate timeline/universe! Then, all their dumb shit doesn't matter, because they can just make up whatever they want and attribute it to being an alternate universe!
This was really stupid. Really fucking stupid. I can't even imagine what possible payoff all of this will have. Probably something equally stupid.
The worst scene was probably when Betty told Archie that she wanted to have his child like 5 different ways. We get the point, move on! Also, if they are so determined to be together and have children together, then it makes absolutely no sense to not get married. I know she said the bullshit reason of everyone they know being divorced or dead, but that's dumb.

I am very confused. Don't know what to think about this Episode. Dialogue writing is as bad as always but the story is not that much
