Park Min Sook after writing one of the best screenplays ever made for a K-drama:

Screenplay, direction, edition, acting, music, sound mixing, sound edition, costume, makeup... every single little thing was made with perfection! An absolutely standing ovation for the characters design and acting.
Once again JTBC proving that they're the only network that can make slow paces dramas as it should be.
If there's a second season count with me.
One of my favourite dramas of the year! I swear I could rave about this drama so much but I loved all the little details and all the characterization was superb. The side couple was not one of my faves but it definitely grew on me by the end and I loved the character growth that everyone had. I also loved the subtle themes found in the drama such as lgbt rep (a side character was on the ace spectrum!!) and the themes of found family. I can't recommend it enough!
I liked this drama a lot. It was a tad bit slow paced (in a way) but it was comedic at times and overall enjoyable. I'd recommend giving this drama a chance. This is something I wanted to point out. When Seon-gyum's dad told him that Mi-Joo is his weakness, the way he denied it and said "She's not my weakness but she's my strength" or along those words was just so cute.

This was one of the oddest, quirkiest dramas I've ever seen.
It was good but I didn’t miss any of the characters when it ended, I was fine to move onto the next show - the main couple was a little lack luster and I found myself waiting for the secondary couple’s scenes to come up, there’s was a lot more spark and the stakes felt higher
I really liked this drama.
It's wholesome.
That's it, that's the review.
This series was a pleasant surprise, first, the lack of love triangles was a breath of fresh air and a very welcome change on the usual kdrama tropes. Second, female leads not acting as they were rivals, and instead having plots about having different personalities and working out a middle ground to have better relationships with one another was one of the highlights of this series. I was slightly annoyed by two plots however, which was the sexualities ones. One of them was, in my opinion, properly addressed towards the end, but the other one...it still bothers me. I absolutely love how the characters work wasn't just a set up for the romance, we actually see their jobs and learn about them by seeing how they work and what their work means to them. And as a translator I'll give 10 out of 10 points to whoever wrote the translators struggles, cause they were painfully real and close to home.
The "adults", as in the parents, plot was...meh. I don't really see how they added to the history, and they were mostly there for a few plot twists. I wish the Seon-Gyeom career plot was already stablished in episode 12, cause he really looked like a good professional and I kind of wanted to see him taking care of things and working. This series has a beautiful message about "how to suck less as a human being" and he, to me, was the perfect opportunity to show how you can do business without being an a-hole.
It's a 7 stars for me, because the second part of the season is when the writers seems to have finally found the series mojo, and because of a few mistakes and things I wished they would "go hard or go home".
Boring , Overrated
I will keep the review short as I don't waste another seconds on this !! This is a biased review /rant
May be this is a show that is most enjoyed when followed during weekly release ? Definitely not work the Binge
Especially when you dislike both MLs and dropped many of their previous shows
I never liked Se-Kyung ; her dialogue deliver irks me and her acting is placid ; I only completed the Rooki Historian becauses its her first show i completed but i have dropped many of her shows and hence i never considered to watch this when it was released weekly in netflix.
The bonus is Si-wan ; I dropped Miseang Life after first episode and i didn't know why but i know now its becuase of him .
The both MLs romance feels forced like a gay man is forced to date a gay woman. Their chemisty was appaling. The Second FL was the interesting character but she outed as a lesbian (possibly didnt want to get married ?) and the writers force a love angle with a college student only to breakup at the end ? really and then get back within few minutes ?
In the core this is a show that wanted to show us the struggles of the silver spoon and wooden spoon ; those without love from the parents ; no matter the circumstances they all grew up with struggles and good heart.
With a different cast I would have like the show but I regret watching a drama for the first and only managed to complete it with sheer persistence
Overrated !! Uninteresting Characters and CAST with no PLOT.
Yet another show of Se-Kyung (2-1) and Si-wan (2-0) that I struggled to finish and unable to engage !!
In the K-Drama universe these are the only two actors i find faults in their acting . It was a right choice to not pickup the show in Netflix while its being telecast since both the cast and synopsis are uninteresting.
STAY AWAY FROM IT if you don't like the cast as essence of the show is to like the characters and not the plot !!!
P.S : :fingers_crossed: to complete the show as I watched 8 episodes and stuck. I dropped KillIt at 7 epsiode mark to start this crap to binge on the weekend.

Simple yet therapeutic. It does not have that complicated kind of plot but you will learn a lot about how to be a decent human being.
