Bua is a chinese orphan. The guy who took her in owns a little chinese stage show where people dress in traditional Chinese costumes to sing and dance just like Chinese opera. Chayuti is a really rich guy who returns from America. On his welcoming home party, he sneeks away and ends in up Bua's town and catches the Chinese show. He falls in love with her at first sight and continues to pursue her. Eventually she falls for him too but his parents, especially his mom, refuses to accept a poor woman as their daughter-in-law.
