As someone who's never seen the original beyond typical pop culture references, I'm more than happy that this is different, if the legacy characters are anything to go by.
They're self-important, obnoxious jerks, and I don't think that kind of thing can be played straight in this day & age.
If that's really what you want, just go watch the original again.
I am a huge fan of the original series. Part of it is loving the cast. Another part is loving how they were one of the shows that addressed (effectively) issues that kids faced around that time. This reboot brings back much of the cast (cool nostalgia), but the issues might be beyond my generation at this point. I found a lot of the episodes hard to connect to, even if the hijinks were still quite fun!

This show got axed almost a year ago but yet they are still going to be on Celebrity Family Feud.
Awkward
I am so glad this show was canceled. The fact that it won Outstanding Comedy Award shows that Americans have completely lost it. Even Peacock network trolled this decision by canceling it! The fact that this show tackles with some serious society issues, does not make it any funnier! It was the MOST stupid and moronic tv show ever produced in my opinion, and I have watched so many shows in my life! Did I mention I am so glad it was canceled??

Sad because I really liked the old show as a kid. Was looking forward seeing the old cast back. But they had to make it racist against white people.
