Very boring show. Couldn't get past three episodes. Didn't care for the characters or the plot. I really tried to like it because I saw others rate it so high, but I am now assuming they are rating it so high because it has so much lgbtq and racial stuff so you are close minded if you do not automatically think it is the greatest show. Sorry, I tried, It is horrible.
Didn't like it much. They keep you busy by focusing on the lives of the characters, and meanwhile the actually interesting bits on the story get stretched way too much. It is not exciting much, it is very predictable, and to me it feels like the producers do their best to embed their own belief systems onto the series, trying to make you see reality like they do. I really enjoyed Miguel Ángel Silvestre. He made his character Lito funny, and human. Actually the actors were all pretty good. The writing just really, really sucked, in my opinion. Or maybe I'm just getting too old for this shit. All the LBGT-stuff is really not for me, I just see them as actors, fucking. Makes me feel uncomfortable. On the other hand, I didn't know Jamie Clayton (Nomi) was actually what they call a "trans woman" in real life, but her performance was pretty good although the "help me, I'm a damsel in distress" angle was a bit too much for me.
Anyway. If you're going to watch this, don't get your hopes up about a quick revelation. None of the episodes is much different from episode 1, plot wise.
It's not a flat out terrible show. I appreciate the scope of what it's trying to accomplish. I agree with the voice and messaging. I like the actors more than I thought I would when I started it. It's not as fumbling forward like Orphan Black, or Heroes as I see myself agreeing with another commenter, but I think it's after the same kind of audience.
What bugs the ever-loving shit out of me is the romance. It's like Beyonce's lemonade video with the amount of slow motion "tension" as 2 characters approach each other with dazzled looks in their eyes. It's a synesthesia-d writer on crack. Every moment is all moments. Every point is also its counter. Every character is open to the highest of violence or sex with seemingly no conflict at all. It's a romance bread from the starkest idealism.
And I get it, that's its voice. But I'm not an endearingly hopeful liberal type who thinks my heart can be trapped by the cute person I just watched murder a dozen people. It's a show where, in the highest rated comment on this page, someone talks about going back through and finding all the "triggers." Yes, because those types pretend, like this TV show pretends, that they're seriously engaging the world instead of their added layer of mythology about it.
This is of course perhaps less a criticism of the show itself, but evocative of the times as to why it can appeal so hard. Oh, how wonderful to connect like that! Oh, how intimate! Oh, sharing and acceptance will always win the day!
Because of this, I feel it loses its capacity for a level of complexity. If you can remain awed by the "when will 1 meet 2? and 4 meet 7?" game, you'll be able to carry yourself through fairly easily. If you can refrain from asking too many questions as to how their "powers" really work or translate, you'll have a better time as well.
This is an aspiration and ethos show. The "gimmick" if you will provides the same kind of intrigue each time, it's just a matter of location or situation they're supposed to surmount. The characters are a solid half based simply on their cultural qualifier. The "depth" provided by assumptions you make regarding each. Even then though, those assumptions will be undermined by the over-arching themes regarding acceptance, teamwork, and undying empathy, even if the trip from those happening randomly to perfectly executed when necessary is less than clear.
For someone who can see no wrong in any piece of art that presents Utopia like a show this, I'll be the out of touch hateful judgemental person who belittles triggers and Just Fine Entertainment that helps you believe and escape. For someone who genuinely contemplates the degree in which media influences our attitudes and approaches to differences or relationships, I think it's important to consider the chasm between genuinely hard work figuring out someone's differences and it somehow being bestowed upon you the capacity to connect with anyone around the world. What a romantic and beautiful idea that will certainly infect and hurt someone who tries to play it out like they did on the TV show.
This, as well, a fairly menial and obvious observation that only feels a bit grating but for the basket I felt this show was shooting at. Complexity can come from deep appreciation and exposition, or caricature overlaps and cup-and-ball shuffle games. This show walks a fine line. It took a bit for it to get going and for me to catch on, but I'm not particularly thinking it's going to offer much more by way of explanation. You're just sort of along for the ride. Again, it's not an out and out bad show. It's strong in its very particular voice. It's just torrential sentimentality overwhelming sometimes genuinely compelling intricacies.
The thing that amazes me of this serie is the general good valoration that it has. I saw all the first season forced by a friend and since the beginning I thought that this is one of worst series I've ever seen. So I didn't watched the second season but when I heared about the cancelation it didn't surprised me at all.
In my opinion, this serie is just the Netflix cliché about looking young, lgtb and all that stuff, exactly like that South Park's episode about Netflix. I think it's a good thing that lgtb stuff appear in series but in this one I think they're using it to be liked instead of to make a good serie including it.
Sorry but it's my honest opinion.
Okay, I'm done with the entire season 1. I am not going to lie, I think that the first 6 episodes are a bit messy. You don't understand everything and why things happen that way. But, you should really hang on and watch the following episodes because this show is really great !
This is really fascinating how the characters help each others, because when someone is in trouble, another person can take action in the first person's body. The circle become a really family. People outside the circle would not notice the difference so it is not a problem for them. I saw in the comments that viewers think that this show is too focused on racial issues. Maybe, but I don't blame it because the show remains great so it is not that annoying.
Let's take a look at the "main characters" list :
(this is only the circle and characters around it are important as well…)
As you can see, there is white people, black people, gays and lesbians, a transgender girl, and an asian. This is the ultimate recipe to produce a politically correct TV show, congrats Netflix !
In conclusion, this is a nice show, starting at episode 6. Before I think it too slow. Otherwise, the plot is nice found and well exploited ! I am looking forward to watching season 2 !
Oh, by the way, sorry for my bad english, this is not my mother tongue, but I am trying my best ;-)
Same style and "messages" as always from The Wachowskis, just more boring than usually.
No shit they cancelled this trash show.
They had to end the cancelled 3rd season in only a 2 hours episode and of course ends like absolutely dogshit, the fact that the last scene is an orgy says a lot about the show...
Thank you, Wachowskis and Netflix, from all the fans of this much adored series for finishing this series SPECTACULARLY! This series debuted in June of 2015, was cancelled, came back for a stand alone episode in December of 2016, was reconsidered for a second season which aired in May of 2017 ending with a cliffhanger and no further episodes scheduled, and, then, responding to great fan support, the 2h 31m series finale was finally filmed and released this past weekend, June 2018. Have i mentioned it is a SPECTACULAR series? Filmed in US, Canada, Mexico, Brasil, Iceland, Scotland, England, Holland, Germany, Italy, Malta, Kenya, India and South Korea - it's not beyond belief that each episode cost Netflix $9 million. I don't know how many times I've blurted out, "I love this series!" while watching it. I love the acting, the profundity, the humour (even the inside jokes about itself and it's fans), the settings, the romance, the action, the diversity of stories, the life affirming concepts (from a humanist perspective). A warning to viewers - it has intensely salacious content (lots of sex), and the stories come from those living on the fringe of their worlds, and may be upsetting to the viewer, but, as excellent storytelling must be, it rings true to the various points of view. I'm sold on this series - solid 10 (totally awesome) out of 10 overall, and never an episode less than a 9 (superb). [SciFi Adventurous Drama]
Unfortunately that is the outcome when you invest in something only to defend an agenda of minorities... The idea behind the show is fantastic. And I was very eager to watch and follow the show.
But when you go 14hours of your life watching something that gets you nowhere... You'd get disappointed.
The 8 are not moving forward nor backwards in any moment of the show. They are lost and lying to themselves and other just as much as they were in episode 1
It has visual - camera work is good, light is good... The whole we are here but not really cuz we're everywhere situation is rather exciting.
It has possibilities - Like I said the idea behind the show is awesome and we keep waiting for it, but it never comes to it...
That as far as the good part of the show goes
It lacks:
Story - They are together simply because they are, they "love" each other simply because yes? What's up with that? They are fighting enemies veery strong but they manage to run from them with love?
It's a omnipotent villain with no limits or conscience and that wants to kill them just to do so?
Script - The dialog is simple and sooo dramatic, but not really deep. And keeps dwelling on the same problematics
For all that matters do not waste your time, not just because it was canceled As it should be but because it was a bad show.
Nooo, Netflix cancelled the show after the second season. I mean it had it's fault but the characters are just so damn lovable that you can't help to love it. This is one of the few times where I'm geniuniely sad and kinda heartbroken about the show not returning. I felt connected to all characters altough I share none of their lifestyles. And that fucking cliffhanger at the end of season 2. Fuck.
Hahaha, they r so like "Hey, you appeared from nowhere, that's nice, how you doing?"
First Episode was all over the place and very confusing, didn't give me the buzz I expected. I'll get round to watching the second episode at some point, but for now, I'll leave it on the sideboard...
Since this series started, so many people were thrilled about it. I'm going to finish the first season today and sincerely I'm not so thrilled too. I mean, it's not bad but it's too messy. Sometimes while I'm watching an episode I ask myself "what's the point?".
Sense8 could be a very good series but the producers have to make some improvement.
Sort of a poor man’s Touch. Got much better the last 5 episodes but it is a bit of a knock off of Heroes crossed with Touch, with the obviously Matrix influenced vibe. Just not original at all. If it was on normal TV it would have been pulled and canned(with good reason). Shouldn't really get a second series in my opinion... but being Netflix this would get years of renewals with their track record.
Gave up on the show during ep.2. Just couldn't force myself to watch any more.
Overall story was not really strong but the personal stories of the 8, their chemistry, the way they helped each other was amazing! I absolutely loved the message of diversity of this show and the amount of feelings in an action show. Could easily give 2-3 more seasons
Today, August 8, they confirmed it: Season 2 is coming!

Really interesting story line, which intrigues you after the first few episodes, once you become familiar with the characters. Almost every episode felt like a movie.
My only main concern, was the emphasis on LGBT in this, and the graphic nature of the show. Literally, the only sex scenes, are that of the lesbian/gay characters. This is not me judging (I just skipped those scenes. Had no desire to see them), but simply a fact, and found it odd and often misplaced. IE characters were rotating through their life's, reflecting, etc, then BOOM, out of nowhere, sex scene. I have no problem with the orientation of the characters, but when you show ONLY them having sex? C'mon, that's going out of your way. And the scene with the main characters all having sex? I mean, was that really necessary?! I thought this was a show, not porn.
Seems to me like lack of character development, was replaced with explicit scenes. Poor way of doing things.
It sure had it's moments and I really liked the music and the scenes where they all had a shared experience, but for the most part nothing really happened. There was no story there. It got better in the last episodes but overall it's somewhat of a disappointment.
Is this a "new version for Heroes"?
what's with all this hate from these bigots lol.
the final episode was soooooooooo wholesome and friggin cute like what!!! it felt so disney like in its wholesome and cuteness. its such a joy really, haha.
it is kinda slow overall, that's sucks a bit. but also, in a way it being slow also means you get more from these 2 seasons, which are... the only ones til forever it seems.
my opinion was always like whew its a relief these people seem to be pretty disoccupied in general lol. like sooooo convenient for everyone.
the general acceptance of the otherness, of someone being a literal bloodlusty mafia boss and it being super ok... idk
like imagine being in their positions, would u be as casually forgiving and accepting like just because? that's pretty wholesome imo.
in overall it feels like a wholesome lgbtq+ trans fantasy from the Wachowskis and by the end of it all, by the very last ep i finally was like oh ok i do now see what all that fuzz was about, it is heartbreaking they cancelled it, not because it was SUPER excellent a definite 10/10 but because of the lgbtq+ inclusivity tolerance non racism etc themes like, idk dumb shows like, vampire diaries or whatever get infinite runtime but this piece of art barely gets two seasons? it is sad, and its cool to finally get the hype, it definitely lived up to it <3
i spend a lotta time watching crap too and it just feels great to come across worthwile gems once in a while
Everybody is gay, the main topic is all about being gay, and pride.. Well deserved a shift+delete for all of the seasons and episodes
I was looking for a good mystery, sci fi show when I read the plot line. Instead every episode is filled with uninteresting stuff I don't care about and then at the end of an episode they throw you a bone that makes you think "maybe now it's picking up". But it doesn't, really. I don't think the actors are that great. It all feels stiff and studied and not fluid and natural.
It is basically a demographic crowd pleaser that masks as a mystery show.
Ambitious story that crosses continents, religion, culture, genders and sexual preferences as eight people sense each other and how they feel and experience their world. It is filled to the brim with a strong international ensemble too and it never seem to miss a beat with it's acting. Sadly, the show also tend to go a little too preachy at times as the showrunners want to make a statement about the LGBT community instead of just letting the characters and motivations speak for themselves. The show also go too much for "shock value" in its first season with detailed sex and orgy scenes. Most of the time, the creators, seem to want to film it's actors in a "Shortbus" gangbang.
Unapologetically Queer and it's amazing
This show definitely takes some time to ramp up in action. My hubby didn't have the attention span to get through the slow burn of season one, which is mostly character development, but I toughened it out and I'm glad I did. Season two is ridiculously tense and action packed.
I really love the orgies.
Amazing show!! I WANT IT AGAIN! I'm waiting the 2nd Season .
Good show, indeed. But it only really becomes interesting enough after Episode 3.
Now that I’ve watched the entire series in literally one sitting, I’m ready to go back and go through it more slowly. Maybe take notes on each ep about the things I love and things that might trigger others.
There is just so much world-building for all that it is set right here and now. The layers of detail and the breadth of the world created is just fascinating.
Each location truly feels separate, probably because they did actually film on location heh. And each culture feels very distinct which creates such a sense of realism.
I am genuinely impressed with the technical aspects of this show: directing, writing, editing, cinematography, etc. But the heart of it is the chemistry between the main cast and how well they demonstrate the sudden intimacy that their new situations create.
Nothing felt inevitable, there was always a sense of risk and possibility. At the same time, the things that do happen feel right and true to the characters and situations. It’s masterful.
I feel so fortunate that this show exists and that I got to see it.
All that said, there are some incredibly intense moments in the show. There is a suicide in the early part of episode one. Later there is various levels of gore and violence. And if you have any bodily issues, the fact that the show in no way ignores the biological issues of cis women’s bodies might shock you.
As far as I can recall, however, there is no animal harm or rape/attempted rape. I specifically recall a scene where I was like, “oh thank fuck! he’s only trying to murder her.”
At the end of the day, the people I cared about survived and/or triumphed enough that the hardships they went through felt worth it. Intensity level-wise (language, sex, violence, plot) I would compare it to Starz’s Spartacus series. Quality-wise too, it’s that good.
No show leaves me on the edge of my seat as much as this one. It's incredible and proof that a beautifully diverse cast with all sorts of personal and cultural struggles and a strong sci-fi plot can co-exist. Don't see that too often. This has been my favorite TV show since it's debut, and so far the second season's only improved my opinion of it. Love every single one of the characters for all their strengths and flaws, and am moved by the way these characters that are individual and unique are at the same time so in harmony with each other. A piece of paradise that real life should aspire to mirror one day. Highly recommend. It's warm and touching but breathtaking and filled with adrenaline all at the same time. The ultimate show for me. (:
I'm really loving this show!! It's different from other shows I have watched. Love how everyone is connected and has a story to tell.
I already know I need to respect other´s people tastes, religion, color, choice of sexually etc... i don´t need a 13 hour tutorial for that. I´m done with this after 3 episodes. Nothing really happens and I really don´t care for any character in the show.
Worst show ever ... Glad Fox didn't pick it up .. It would have been cancel after 3 episodes !!!!
I liked the drama, the sci-fi stuff, the mystery, the way that it was pictured.
I just feel that there is too much sexual appeal which is unnecessary given all the good story they're making.
Because the appeal I'll give a 5 in 10.
Slow at first but picked up from episode 3. Fabulous series after all.
(via TV Blaze for WP)
This show has it all. It's smart, sexy, funny, positive... Netflix doesn't deserve it. Hope it finds someone better.
I thought that the concept was good. But maybe it's just because I'm impatient af that I found the episodes SO SLOW. I found myself skipping through the episodes. I don't know if I have enough patience to watch season 2. Otherwise, pretty good show.
some piece of trash this is. totally not worth anything. don't bother.
got fed up about half way thru episode 4, utter waste of time. All seemed a bit dull.
This show was an amazing experience! Thanks, give me more!
This show is so amazing!!!! I love all the characters... Can't wait for S2. Also if you're just starting and feel it's a bit lack luster.. PLEASE continue as it gets so much better :)
Looks pretty similar to Heroes, hopefully lives up to its hype.
Boring, dull, nonsense show. I'm not a person who give up on a show and so in worst scenario I try to finish the season so after the first f***ing season I gave up. Netflix attracts people with sexual scenes. I wonder How boring a show could be! Worst ever! This is not a show, this is felony.
Season 1 is a tad slow, but it has to be to prepare everything to come. Season 2 will be mindblowing
Just one thing to say: SO FREAKING AWESOME. Sun and Riley are best characters in my opinion.
Amazing show. Diferent from everything i've seen before. The first episodes are a bit boring and I was almost going to quit, but decided to keep watching to see were it would leave and I really liked after strarting to understand what it was all about. Good action scenes with the body switches!
watched all episode twice already. i want season 2
Van Damme always comes back!!!
Worst show ever ... Glad Fox didn't pick it up .. It would have been cancel after 3 episodes !!!!
Probably the best show around.
So good! Cant wait for next season
just one star with no comment
this is just censored gay porn that was supposed to by some mystery tv show
Too bad the last episodes are sooooooo terribly filled with nonsense. Earlier episodes were more or less smart and (remotely....)possible, but the last episode was all about doing some magic and then suddenly everything is possible. Very disappointing. On basically every level. Rambo would be jealous of the impenetrable skin our heros seem to have.
What saves it all, is the final few scenes of the gathering with basically everyone in the series, making it a proper finale.
Level "Excellent" • 8  • Recommended.
I loved Sense8, it's a sweet show with a very imaginative and personal premise, one that only could've been achieved by the talented Wachowskis. I rushed through the whole series and I'm personally bummed for doing that since it's a show that I now miss, these characters are all extremely likeable and you'd want to see them for years which makes the cancellation a bummer but seeing that the fan uproar was big enough to warrant this feature-length finale, it shows the series hit a certain demographic. Also, seeing as to how the Wachowskis could juggle all these distinct characters, how have they not been asked to do a Justice League film? They'd probably nail it. Anyways, sweet show, I'll probably re-watch it when I'm down.
A TransRights , Transwomen Are Women , Gender /Gender Identity preaching show made by Transwomen (Males (Men) identifying as women (with/without penises)) - Wokes will love it , GC will hate it. Concept is good but No story - I wish I had listened to * read all the reviews about it being long, boring and waste of 14 he* hours but I believed the hype that it is a great show.
It is not a series for everyone, it is a unique work that portrays the human psyche and relationships in an excellent and somewhat profound way.
It is a series with a certain depth and very beautiful, a beautiful work that despite not being for everyone, it is advisable to see yes or yes.
The series has few chapters, a precise plot and a very beautiful message, its cast is excellent.
In addition to its sets and costumes, the dialogues are rich in depth, a very beautiful and human series.
Highly recommended.
Second watch. A few qualms, new interests, same loves.
Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend. I will never get over this show being cancelled. Fuck you Netflix.
Ep1 to ep3 : slow boring+ little confusing
ep3 to ep9 : slow boring. You can skip lots of ideological talk .
at ep10: action start. and flows.
at s02e04: still flows. Enjoyable
at the end of ep3: you see how they will use connection to help each other
ep6 : orgy . + lot of background change. Made me nauseous
is this even worth watching now that it's canceled?
Awesome, a MUST see. Storylines and imagry is exquistite.

What a freaking amazing show!
It's insanely good written - well it has to be, it's from the creators of Matrix ;)
And the level of production, acting, camera work, music, special effects and pretty much everything is top notch.
What else can I say: I love this show, it is very unique!
This show felt like a spiritual successor to Cloud Atlas
(seen by too few), & was equally good. Its only 2 seasons long, so Id advise people to give it a chance. Has the say creators as
The Matrix`. Really ambitious story for a tv show. Overall, they pulled most of it off.
So happy they went back to finish it.
The story was wrapped beautifully. The way things ended for each characters left a good taste in my mouth. I am satisfied with the works of the Wachowskis and all the crews till the end.
This show is my favorite! Is so amazing and awesome!!! ----- And I love the actors, they are the best! The story is too much too, you can feel all the feelings watching this serie <3
this had so much potential but the acting from a few of the actors really made the show like some kind of caricature
Had been waiting for season 2....Just started and now i worry if i will get any sleep tonight
well, it is canceled :'( why???
Truly one of the best tv series out there. This is a masterpiece. It is real and authentic and dramatic and emotional. The best thing about it the way you feel connected to the characters. You immensely sympathize with them. The show has consumed my life.
Odio que Netflix cancelara Sense8!
Just watched all of series 2, great as always!
But must say I'm a little deflated with this run!
Still loved it but didn't feel that it deliver on the story as well as the first....

Just had to write something, watch the great series 1
Super e/1 of series 2
And now sat to binge watch all of series 2
8 mins in and my mind is blown away, the dogs bollocks, best show ever ever ever.....
Pedazo de serie. Muy recomendada
Not much happened in the two hour episode, could have fit it into one.
Not sure where this show is going. There id's a lot of things they can do with all the setup.
I hope they make more out of it then they have so far.
The dates are not actualized:
2x01 is in 25th December
Wow, this show is amazing!!!
A show full of moments, sometimes you rewind them back and go like whoa that was deep! TBH until first 4 episodes I didn't get it but continued cause I’m not a quitter but all the dots did connect like said by Steve Jobs, not really or I couldn't tell and I really don’t care now how these connections work. I mean this is Netflix’s ambitious, brilliant in its own way, Sci Fi mofo, dream-reality-limbo puzzler abra ka dabra stuff. It covers just everything from Gay Parade to Ganesha Chaturthi, Kenyan plight to Korean fight, DJing in London to Purab Kohli dancing for Rab ne bana di Jodi in Mumbai, lot of Sex, Art, Love, Grief, all of it that your therapist will fail to understand. This is truly global having so many diverse characters, like cinnamon rolls too good for this world, tied together by emotion far more than reason. Sense8 is weirdly sexy!
Glad to see this is getting at least another season, I think it will be worth it. Although, it does have that Heroes vibe ever so slightly, and that's not a good type cast. Redemption can happen!

Season 1 it seems a prologue for the real history. It is on track
fresh new and interesting, colorful characters, really good watch!
A refreshing show that has you by the edge of your seat episode after episode!
Empathetic. That's the word I'd use to describe the show. That and abstract, and that's not the worst thing a show could have to it. I'm looking forward to the five-season projection the Wachowskis and company intend to have.
All these people with their own skills and their stories connected into the bigger one. For me, it's the best series of this year, so far.
Tuppence Middleton is so cute ×_×
Judging by the pilot I would call the show pretty boring/weak, overall I would've rated it a 4/10. After the 4th episode this show really became something special. After finishing all of season 1, it earned a very special place in my heart. It has easily become one of my all time favourite TV Shows, now it is without a doubt a 10/10. If you manage to make it past the first few episodes, you are in for one hell of a ride... And to those of you who have seen it, I don't know about you, but episode 6 left me speechless.
Super show! I was a bit affraid that it would turn out in nothing at the start.. Now that I watched every ep. I'm really a fan!
One of the greatest shows on netflix! 10 out of 10!
Absolutely love this show! It really picks up around the 3rd episode.
Amazing show. Slow start but once the storyline unfolds, it just gets better. Reminds me of Heroes from a while back. Can't wait for season 2!!

starts out ok but soon goes nowhere but gay porn meets terrible acting. can´t understand what people see in this cliche packed nonsense...can´t be the story, because there is none.
