What I suspected in the previous episode was just confirmed in this one: excellent chemistry between the cast! The dialogues are witty and on point, events unfold smoothly, there was never a dull moment, so far.
I always expect the second episode of a new show to tone things down, but they managed to keep things up at the same level as the premiere. Not a lot of shows are able to pull these things off so early.
Also, Gillian Anderson is adorable as Otis' mom. In a creepy kind of way, of course.
Back in business :) Another great episode!
Poor Harry at the beginning xD
Eric: "You're particularly odd today."
Otis' acting is just great! Those moments like when he throws the phone away <3 Or when Otis hits the lamp desk after seeing Maeve and Jackson.
Amy burning Adam's letter was also quite entertaining.
Eric: "I've seen people do it in films."
He's also so funny in general :)
Adam to Jean: "Well, I thought my parents were controlling."
Jean really felt that. And rightfully though! Seems like she also has to lean a few more things about boundaries :D But I feel like that's a common problem for parents.
It also seems like Otis and Maeve are really starting to bond.
Poor Maeve though - she doesn't seem to have it easy... :o She and Jackson were stupid though - definitely should've used protection... Jackson seems like a cool/decent and smart guy but apparently not that smart.
Another solid addition to the series, I love how well Eric and Otis play off with eachother, with Otis being te more loner type and Eric wanting to be noticed by others and have popularity, but them both being best friends. Also this was another fun epsidoe, with Eric's genius sample idea Otis and Eric went to a party to try and giove out sex advice, with Otis eventually gettign success with a couple by taking his moms adivce. This epsidoe also have a good blend of comedy and drama, and I cant wait for the mpore serious aspects of the show, like Maeve getting pregnant being explored later on. I also realy wish Adam didnt go to the extrmes when taking peoples advice, first it wa spublic flashing to show that he was emkbraciong who he was, now its braking into Aimees house to "get closure," I mean its hard to not sympthize with his dad's dissapointment in him., though im sure the constant comparison adam gets to his sister from his dad plays a big part in Adams acting out and troubled relationship with his dad. Also its really clear Jean has an issue of invading her son's personal space in an attempt to help him, without regard for Otis's boundaries, I hope they work through that and get closer. Poor Jackson too, its clear he wants a relationship beyond just casual sex with Maeve, but she keeps pushing him off, and after seeing her living situation, she may be pushing off others like Jackson out of shame of how she really lives, and exposing that to others. Otis is sexually repressed as usual, while being surp[risingly skilled at sex therapy. And Aimee, like usual, is a people pleaser wiothotu regard for her own desires,a dn instead just serving others.. Eric is honestly such a funny guy too, Im really enjoying him in the show and its clear he's gonna be more than just the "gay best friend." Acting and dialogue are solid as always too, and you just gotta love the environment and clothign of this show. The moment between Otis and Maeve was really heartwarming too when they were sitting together outside, its very easy to ship them together and I really hoep their relationship blossoms atleast as friends. Also im glad the houseparty free sex advice thign was a success, and Maeve and Otis are still working together instead of quitting after the hosueparty disaster(Adam punching Aimees new bf, and the consecutive barfing banan fiasco), cant wait to see more of their adventures in later episodes.
Yeah... I tried liking this but this show just isn't good.
Gave up after Asa Butterfield's character mentioning that "social history" is relevant to the reason why someone would have a gag reflex.
Just dumb.
huge skins uk vibes I love it !
Is she pregnant or not? Guess we'll see in the next episode

I would probably never watch this show with anyone else in the room but it's really freaking good.
