I like period shows and historical fiction. This is not awful but at the same time not that great either. Looks and feels about 10 years older than it actually is. And I don't know if I should call this a romantic adventure or an adventures romance. It is more worth watching for the cast than the stories. Those are rather predictable and repetitive. But maybe, at the time this aired, with all the medical and legal dramas it was more special than today.

This show is just so good. It does feel a lot older than it is but it makes up for it with superb and loveable characters. I don’t know what it is but the show has a certain charm to it that just reels you in and keeps you wanting more. You can’t help but love Sharpe and his merry band of men, almost like a colonial soldiers version of Indiana Jones and friends.
