I still cannot figure out if I like this episode or not, which is to say that I did not enjoy it. Sherlock and John are quite toxic what with Sherlock needing to be babysat all the time, and John usually indulging him. I am glad that he is finally learning to put his foot down, and that this episode is more John-centric. I have to admit that there's something satisfying about watching John beat Sherlock up. I also didn't expect to learn how to comfort people from Sherlock ("it is what it is").
As for the mystery, it was almost cool.
This was so mind blowing, trippy and fantastic, Sherlock took us to a ride with him and you could feel his highs and his lows, amazing! Did Benedict ever won an emmy for this?! Cause he deserves!
And like I said last episode, Ms Hudson the most interesting character!
And even tho I hate John Watson right now, his scenes with Mary were so heart wrenching, but still I don’t forgive him, and that’s what happens when you cheat on your wife! Your mistress ends up being
Sherlock’s evil sister!
My favorite in season 4, even with some wrongs along the way... I miss my old John Watson... he was my baby :(
Benedict delivers his most WOW PERFORMANCE in a while as Sherlock. Martin is great as ever. Toby Jones is as horrifying as he was supposed to be. Love it!
This season is just not that good as a Sherlock's season has to be.
A great great episode. Moffat really is a genius writer. We get to see top Sherlock work: all the stuff from Faith's piece of paper, and his predictions of John's behaviour weeks in advance, that's the kind of stuff you'd expect from Sherlock Holmes, and this episode does not disappoint. And the ending !!! Never saw that coming. That was a masterpiece.
Toby Jones' scenes are really fun too. So persuaded to be protected by his power and fame, always pushing the limits of what he can say without actually screaming he's a serial killer. He makes up for the way Sherlock identifies and traps him, that is totally out of the blue and has little interest.
Even Ghost Mary was well done. It could have been really anoying but no, it actually added to the story. The way she helped John deduce the phone call, or how Sherlock found his therapist was quite clever.
The way Eurus deducted it too after barely meeting him is more surprising.
John's cheating was weird, completely out of touch, and annoying in the previous episode, but the way it turns out in this one makes up for it.
I never ever suspected that the three women were the same person. The third sibling in Sherrinford was heavily hinted in both episode, but until she said Eurus, no clue.
However Sherlock did not see either that the Faith he saw and the therapist were the same person. That seems strange, but let's say he was too high.
The episode's not perfect though. The high Sherlock scenes were really really too much. Fortunately, everything that comes after is top notch.
There's also some incompatible stuff in Sherlock's plan. Seeing Mary's video it seems to go perfectly with the plan. He puts himself in harm's way by being at the hospital, and everything works out including John bringing the cane, and I suppose coming to save him. But first, it's almost pure luck that John finds the CD, and this, just in time, at a few seconds to come and save him. But Faith not being the one he saw was definitely not part of the plan, he still doesn't get it at the end of the episode, so what was the intended course of action if she had been the same one ? Doesn't seem to fit.
Brilliant and back on form. Well done. This is why we love this show.

The whole episode was great but I'll be honest, the end of the episode really made it great!!
IT'S ALWAYS THE DAMN THERAPIST!
As always excellent. Sherlock takes the rule of thirds to the absolute extremes and then some.
I didn't really like the last episode, so I was really skeptical, but this episode wasn't bad at all. It was definitely better than what I expected.
- It was nice to know right from the beginning who the serial killer was because it was quite interesting to see how Sherlock would trap him.
- I wasn't sure at first what to think about the imaginary Mary, but it was well done. It makes sense that John keeps seeing her and she wasn't really annoying. Instead she was supportive and funny, and I liked that.
- I think I actually liked that ending. Seeing how the therapist, John's "affair" and Faith were the same person freaked me out a bit because even I didn't notice it. I thought something was off with the therapist because her voice or accent seemed to change a bit during the episode, but I didn't see something like this coming. Now I have to see how this all plays out.
- And I keep remembering the scene where Sherlock said "Must be something comforting about the number three. People always give up after three." Maybe there will be even more than one Holmes sibling? Could be twins because Sherlock said "It's never twins."
Just some thoughts, though :D Let's see where the finale is going.
Amazing episode! Mrs Hudson is awesome :D I love how she knows Sherlock so well that she's the one that gives the tip about where to find the unsolved cases.

Unbelievably good episode! Intricate and engaging story. At every single turn, one can't really tell what's real or what's imaginary! Brilliant! Seriously, why can't there be more shows or writing like this?

the best ones are those which reminds us to see Sherlock and John as the OTP of all OTPs.
Honestly i did not panic after that premier, i had a small concern but it was immediately squashed knowing that the coming episodes promise this particular one
Drugs are not a plot device
After seeing who actually wrote this EP i was a bit concerned Moffat hasn't been really on his A-game lately....but i am very happy that i can totally take that back...what an episode!!! Well acted and the word plays were amazing!! Think i'm gonna have a new life motto too after today : Stress can ruin every day of your life, your own death can only ruin one funny but so true! The ending though!! EPIC!!! Can't wait for next week to show what they throw at us again
At this point the only thing this show is doing is pandering to its audience. An audience that consists of 14 year old obsessive fans on the internet, reading slash Johnlock fanfiction.
A great one. The only problem is that when you think any of them are over. They drag on a bit. However this one had a good reason to be draggy in the end. A trippy and insane ending.
i enjoyed this episode a lot, more than the first one. yet now i will proceed to complain about it in many words, because there's not much to say about things that i liked except than i liked them.
anyway, i just can't help but be bothered by how detrimental and crucial random correspondence of events and blatant coincidences are this season. like sherlock switching to finding whoever's breaking the thatcher' busts while working on a completely unrelated case that had become a mystery after an accidental car crash.
and in this episode he figures out the "anyone" bit because he recently heard that word from the people close to him, what?.. and even worse - john only goes to save sherlock, in the last moment no less, because mrs hudson throws a fit and points out that sherlock likes to stab case related things that give him grief, otherwise he would have never found the cd in time, if ever. i like detective stories and complicated plots that neatly unravel by the end and hopefully shock us the viewers or make us smugly nod if we had drown the right conclusions before it all became clear, but i hate when it's too convenient, obviously set up, it just takes me out of the action, and then it's not even clever anymore, is it?
also, fuck, i really wish they wouldn't have been continuously and heavily implying that sherlock is asexual while also continuously and quite bluntly trying to erase his asexuality via john and his adamance to "humanise" and "normalise" sherlock which, quite offensively, means that you just can't be either human or normal if you aren't driven by carnal or at the very lest romantic desires. i don't even expect the writers to commit and label sherlock as asexual, i've basically given up on any representation at this point, because sex sells and everything is about money, i get it, but i wish they would have left it unclear for some and clear for others, yet unspoken, ambiguous, instead of trying to forcefully stir it in another direction in a sad attempt of making sherlock a more desirable character in the eyes of the sexually unsatisfied fans of the actor who plays him.
That was just faaaan-tastic. Episode 1 disappointed me a little bit, but I realize that it was part of the setup for this episode. Loved it. This is why I'm watching this show. Bravo.
Now this, this is the reason why Sherlock is such a brilliant show. An exceptional episode. I don't know where to start; high Sherlock, hallucination Mary, crazy serial killer, secret evil sister, Moriary be showing up. I'm just devastated and elated all at once.

Unbelievable. Amazing. What an episode! The "east wind" is coming. Now, the game is definitely on. You really now it's a good episode when you end up screaming at the screen. And I've been like this for at least 10 minutes.
Since the beginning I felt there was something wrong with the therapist. That creepy red bloodstain carpet was not normal. I though it was a foreshadowing, and it definitely was.
Sherlock is back in form. this episode got me at the edge of my seat. It felt like 5 minutes. What an intense episode. I'm emotionally drained now. The writing was brilliant. It was full of intense and emotional moments and I right now I feel as high as Sherlock. It was really gripping. And when Sherlock hugged crying Watson... I died. The scene in which he was confessing to Mary was absolutely great. It made me feel much emotions than at her death scene. It was beautifully interpreted. And man, that Culverton laughing really creeped me out. What a portrayal. I'm sure I'm gonna have nightmares with Toby Jones.
Really, now the east wind is coming and I can't wait. Although it's really a pity it's almost over. It will be a huge finale. It's gonna be crazy. And I'm so hyped myself. So now Watson cheated on Mary with Sherlock's sister? Mind-blowing.
And bravo Mrs. Hudson! Those one liners a d mad driving skills. Mr. Hell on Wheels. When you thought it was enough, Sherlock appears in the boot. "You reptile!" omg, Got to love her.

Eurus is Sherringford? She's been Moriarty this whole time? Maybe she tried to drown Sherlock when they were kids, thus what happened to her. maybe Redbeard saved him. he flashed back to his memories as a kid. Water has always been important. and Moriarty's first crime was drawing a child so maybe she's him.
Holy Shit! This episode was unbelievable! How did I not see that coming! Easily one of the best episodes of Sherlock...
Such a mind blowing episode! Love how obvious yet subtle all the clues were, and I'm already in love with female Sherlock. <3 10/10 :D
So many twists and turns in this episode that it almost makes up for the S4 premiere :O

That ending was just jaw dropping CRAAAZY! I'd love to be able to fast forward to next week to see how this is going to end.
