Sidney has a banana eating habit that is out of control,
landing him in trouble with the plantation owner.
Sidney is lonely and longs for playmates, but no one wants to play with the big, silly elephant; he's too rough and he doesn't realize it. Then, two buzzards spot Sidney and decide he would make a marvelous meal. Sidney thinks they just want to play and ends up inadvertently terrorizing them with his playfulness.
Sidney is tired of eating plants and wants to become a carnivore like Stanley the Lion.
Sidney wants to be part of the traveling circus.
When Sidney learns that a big game hunting safari has come to the jungle, he loses his mind with worry and fears that they may try to capture him and make him live in a zoo. Sidney pretends to be animals that the safari isn't interested in to remain unnoticed until he learns that the safari isn't even taking elephants this time. Sidney finds that he would rather be noticed and taken away by the hunters than left feeling unwanted.
Sidney the Elephant tries to find a family.
Sidney is scared by a little mouse, then hits his head against a tree and starts to think he is a cat. Now the tables have turned as Sidney chases the mouse who used to bully him.
Sidney is told he should be old enough to have grown tusks by now, eager to have a pair of his own, he is told he can plant a tusk tree, which will grow in seven days.
After Sidney starts his own babysitting service, he begins sneezing uncontrollably. Sidney's sneezes are so violent they wreak havoc on the jungle and it's inhabitants.
