There are a lot of snakes that have the name ghost, such as ghost ball pythons, or ghost cornsnake. For whatever reason it's a popular name with reptiles, so we look at some of the cool ghost snakes that we work with. In a wierd twist Chewy seems to think the shop is haunted so Kel and I go on a ghost hunt to try to find proof of the paranormal.
When handling snakes it's so important to read ther body language so that you don't get bit. It's just as important to read whether or not your snake wants to eat. We'll take a look at some of the things we look for to reduce snake bites here as well as when feeding our snakes. We also put Chewy to the test and see if he can handle a mean snake without getting attacted by it?
While snakes are hibernating they aren't totally asleep, so they still have to defend themselves. Each type of snake is different, some will hide and others will get agressive and try to bite as you'll see me get tagged by a big ratsnake.
Keeping snakes as pets can be a great idea, but it's so important to really do your research. There are so many different types of reptiles that you can choose from. We'll go through a few of what we think are great pet snakes and how big they get so you can decide what would work for you. We also send in our American idol audition tapes and George busts out his version on Pants On The ground.
It's truly amazing how snakes feed, in this case huge Pythons taking down rabbits. We look at the way they're able to eat something so big without even having arms or hands to aid in the process. This is truly one of natures most incredible animals.
It's a mid season check on how the Python breeding season is going. We're seeing lot's of breeding and hoping for some cool baby snakes in the not too distant future. Kel also plays a prank on Steve. I guess when sex is in the air the guys get a little friscky.lol
Here at BHB Reptiles we get a lot of visitors, and I get the chance to go around and show off a lot of really cool snake projects that I'm working with. Nothing scripted, just me going around pulling some of my favorite reptiles out and telling you a little about them. We also have another round of SnakeBytesTV Jeh-Party where the loser gets blindfolded and must find a paper clip in with a mean snake!
Snake wrangling started in the early 1900's, we want to highlight Rene Stiles for the work she did traveling around with snakes, lizards, frogs and even venomous snakes! it's an awesome story of one of the early pioneers of the reptile hobby.
Not ever snake we deal with is easy to care for or easy to handle. We look at some of our difficult reptiles and show you how we deal with them. George also goes into a total freak out and Freaks all of us out!
Snakes are coming out of hibernation and that means a whole lot more animals for us to care for and get ready for breeding. I'll show you some of the snake projects that I'm excited about this breeding season. We also test the myth about if you have a long mustache will a snake be more willing to bite you?
For me there is nothing better but to share my love for reptiles with kids and to see how excited they get about animals. Even with this group of nearly 500 kids there were hardly any that were afraid of snakes. They all were so excited just to see them and learn more about them.
We head off to Chicago to check out a huge reptile show where they'll be sweet snakes, frogs, lizards, and cool animals of all reptilian varieties. We show you some of our favorites as well as an overview of the whole show.

We work with all kinds of snakes here at SnakeBytesTV, but none as variable as ratsnakes. This week we show you some of the cool types we breed and also cover some of the attitudes that they can be known for. We even try to see if an angry snake is more likely to bite Chewy or George? You don't want to miss the results of this very scientific test!

We also have a crazy crew of people working with our reptiles. You never know what you'll see them do in each weeks shows! There's a show every Wednesday morning, so don't miss it!
Over the past 20 years of working with snakes and snake mutations, we started to notice that some snake color phases seem to effect their attitude and sometimes even their breeding. We aren't snake scientist, but we do have Dr. Chewy that plays one on the net? Here's are some examples of what we notice here at BHB Reptiles.
Here at BHB we're full blown in the breeding season for Pythons and Boas as well as Colubrids. It's a ton of work breeding all these snakes, but the rewards is awesome baby reptiles. We share some of our ways of going about getting the best success and show some actual snakes breeding. Chewy also atemps to act like a professional and the obvious happens, Snake Bites!
SnakeBytesTV traveled 12,000 miles down to Australia to hit one of the coolest reptile shows on the planet. You'll also see me get owned by an adult Rough Scaled Python, lets just say I lost some blood over this one!
This week we wrap up our trip to the Australian reptile show and head off for next weeks adventure. We'll showcase the last few animals and even handle two of the most deadly snakes on the planet! Along with all these reptiles a Koala Bear pops up, go figure? Only in the land down under! Lastly we need your help to name a brand new morph of carpet Python! It's your chance to have your name on a super cool new project! Hope you enjoy!
Here at SnakeBytesTV we get asked a ton of questions about how to keep snakes and all kinds of reptile rlated things. We figured we would dedicate a show to the most commonly asked questions and do our best to answer them. As a bonus and for no apperent reason we throw a game of truth or dare? Only at BHB and SnakeBytesTV would this happen??
Brian takes on some insane animals while in Australia. You'll see him milking a deadly Tiger Snake, feed a 15 foot crocodile and milk venom from the deadly funnel web spider. Don't worry there's the softer side of things with Koala's, Kangaroos, and even Tazmanian Devils! It's an all out Aussie extravaganza!!
Who's your snake's daddy? Hey everyone it's Father's Day this weekend. And here at BHB and SnakeBytesTV we celebrate all the daddy snakes as well. We'll take a look at some of the most productive male snakes we have had. These daddy snakes are the real founder stock of our snake collection. Also, George always gets sad around Father's Day, so Chewy decides to adopt him and take him under his wing.
Five ways to get snakes: we go down the list of what we feel are the top five best things you can do to convince your parents or significant other to allow you to get a snake. This may not work for all people, but we have seen that if you try them all you're chances are much greater then not trying them. Let us know if this works for you.
1,200 Plus snake eggs in one day! We're in full tilt snake egg production this time of the year and today alone we pulled over 1,200 snake eggs. We also have a visit from some super cool Chefs for another addition of BakeBytesTV.
Snake eggs and incubation. When breeding snakes you have to think about the all important task of hatching snake eggs. That means you need to think about what kind of snake egg incubator you want to use. It all depends on how many snake clutches and how much money you want to spend. We'll show you some options from really cheap all the way to full room egg incubators. Will we hatch a Super Chocolate Wonka Ball?
Snake Bites, Dog Attacks, George Bites? Chewy is known for his snake bites, but is it all animals that want to bite him? We see if a lizard, a frog and even a dog are interested in attacking him. Is it only animals that like to attack Chewy or is it people too? We also take a look at what snake scales are really for. We all know that snakes and a lot of reptiles have scales, but have we ever thought what the reasons for them are? Watch and find out!
5 meanest snakes in the world. We take a look and try to handle some of our meanest snakes. These snakes bite us almost everytime take them out. Although most snakes are great pets and super tame, these snakes just have a bad attitude. Snake bites are most likely a part of handling these animals, and you're about to see what it's like handling some of the meanest snakes in the world!
What kind of snake do I have? Identifying snakes and their morph can be a tough one, but it really comes down to your snakes color and pattern. There are a ton of snake morphs out there now, so it can get a little tricky. I'll try to explain a few things that should make it easier for you. We'll also play the new Name That Morph game with Chewy and George and see who loses. They'll have to try to pick up a mean snake blind folded, I think there will be snake bites in their future.
Balls Deep: It's all Ball Pythons, Ball Pythons and more Ball Pythons in this weeks show. We cover some of the most common base morphs and work our way through some of the color morphs that we have produced over the years. With Ball Pythons it would really take three shows to show them all, so we do our best to show you the highlights. With Ball Pythons being one of the coolest snakes out there they really deserve a whole show dedicated to their awesomeness!
Snakes on a plane. We visit with the guy who was behind the reptiles in movies like Snakes on a plane, Indiana Jones and hundreds of other block busters. We'll hatch 10's of thousands of snakes over the next couple of months and will be sure to keep you guys posted on our progress as well as highlighting some of our coolest hatchling reptiles.

Snake slang - there are a ton of snake terms and snake language that you hear from us reptile people that you might think to yourself, "What the heck are they talking about??" I go through some of those reptilian terms and explain what they are and even show you on our snakes so you have a greater understanding. Next time you sit around the table playing Scrabble these will help you win against all your friends!
Dumb snakes; when we think of pets we often want to compare their intelligence to other pets like cats and dogs. The truth is not ever pet can learn tricks like a dog, but does that make them stupid? Snakes and other reptiles do not have the same intelligence as dogs or most mammals, but there are some atvantages to that as well. Lets take a look at why snakes aren't as smart and why we should still love them!
The making of a reptile show, we have been filming for almost three years and get asked all the time what goes into the process of filming a reptile web show. It's not all snakes and lizards, there is a lot of work that goes into the production of a web series. We'll show you how we do it and also you'll get a chance to take a look at the people behind the scenes. Hope you enjoy the look into our lives! SnakeBytesTV is a weekly series featuring all kinds of snakes, reptiles and other extreme or dangerous animals. After facing the zombie snake and killing it with a hockey stick the crew came out of their zombie trance. Not knowing I went on the attack and almost killed George with the same hockey stick. Since, George has had issues with recoverying from his experience and the crew still make fun of him for it. This year George decides to get his revenge and summon the zombie snake from the dead. It's amazing how one mutation of snake, like the Pinstripe can change the whole future of the Morph game in snakes. We'll take you through the process of how it all began.
My snake is down with the sickness, of course when you keep as many snakes as we do you are going to have health issues pop us from time to time. It doesn't mean your collection is filled with sick snakes, it's just a fact of life. SnakeBytesTV is a weekly series featuring all kinds of snakes, reptiles and other extreme or dangerous animals. Sometimes we get attacked or suffer painful snake bites, but mostly we answer your questions and provide you with exciting and interesting information.
Snakes biting, part of working with a lot of snakes or any animal for that matter is getting bit. Here at SnakeBytesTV and BHB we get bit a lot, but the truth is most of our snakes never bite. We want to show you the two major reasons that snakes bite and what we do about it when it happens. Remember snake bites happen, but as long as they are not venomous snakes, there is seldom anything to be freaked out about:)
Snakes scare me! This weeks it's all about the fear of snakes! There are ton of people that are refereed to as ophidiophobes, or people with an extreme fear of snakes. Some can not even bring themselves to look at a picture or a video of a snake. We try to break down this irrational phobia and help in easing their fear. Being that we talk about irrational fears, even I will face one of my biggest fears.....Spiders! That's right I tackle a Tarantula! Lets see how I do and if I can do it anyone can.
Snakes without balls. Anyone that watches the show for any length of time knows we do a lot of work with Ball Pythons, some would say too much work with them. The truth is we work with tons of different snakes, like Boas, Cornsnakes, Kingsnakes and ratsnakes just to name a few. We'll take this show to highlight non-Ball Pythons. I hope all you Ball Python lovers will still like the show!

From his girly sister to his emo brother all the way to his Mom and Uncle from Texas. They all will get snakes for Christmas this year. Top 10 snakes, it's the end of the year and we look back on the top ten best selling snakes for us here at BHB. Remember these are only our top ten snakes, not the top ten snakes in the hobby. If you feel I missed a snake or a reptile, feel free to comment down below.
Breeding snakes: each snake breeding season I have to decide what animals to breed in order to get the offspring that is desired. It might sound easy, but there is a lot to consider. In this weeks show I'll take you through the thought process I use for breeding.
Snake master, I go on the belief that no matter what situation you live in there is a snake that I can match up for you. We take some questions from viewers on what reptile would be the best for their living situation. Whether it's a snake, a tortoise or another reptile, we'll find the correct pet for you!
5 nicest snakes in the World; Here at SnakeBytesTV and BHB we work with tons of snakes and of course we'll have the rare animal that likes to bite and it's entertaining to see. The truth is that most snakes are super tame and are great pets, so we wanted to highlight what we thought were the top five tamest snakes that we work with. We even show the tame sided of the dreaded King Ratsnake!

Sporting snakes: Is running a snake-breeding business like running a sports franchise? We take a look at some of the similarities and compare the two. Maybe the idea of a rookie snake is not a strange as it seems? Brian also gets pissed at George and Kel for playing fantasy snake breeding? Sometimes we get attacked or suffer painful snake bites, but mostly we answer your questions and provide you with exciting and interesting information.
Snake limbo, this week we show what to look for when you are thinking of a first snake. We compare it to the things you look for when you're buying a new car. Of course it's a totally different purchase, but we think we can find some comparisons. We also challenge to crew to a little game we like to call "snake limbo". I'm just glad that I didn't have to be a part of this game!SnakeBytesTV is a weekly series featuring all kinds of snakes, reptiles and other extreme or dangerous animals. Sometimes we get attacked or suffer painful snake bites, but mostly we answer your questions and provide you with exciting and interesting information
How do I feed my snake, it's always an interesting question about the best way to feed your snake. We're going to do an experiment that will help us figure out the best way to optimise your growth rate on your snake. We'll also look at the interesting twinkie diet. Can you really loose weight by eating only twinkies?
Bad A$$ Snakes... This week we take a look at some really cool snakes that hardly ever make it into the show. Sometimes we focus on Ball Pythons and the more common snakes, but the truth is there are tons of great snakes that are a bit more unusual.
Snake massage: we spend time this week looking at how female Ball Pythons behave as they develop follicles during breeding season. We also bring in a massage therapist, but not a normal one. She specializes in "snake massages". The crew got to enjoy some relaxing snakes all over their bodies!
Pimp my balls, this week Roxy gets a chance to meet up with the "pimp my balls" team to get an overhaul on her Ball Python. Although she loves her snake, she's ready for something new and exciting. The crew throw together some ideas and get her the coolest paint job for her new Ball Python! You can see what snake mutations we combined to get these incredible animals! SnakeBytesTV is produced by BHB Reptiles, one of the worlds largest snake breeding facilities, and is hosted by Brian Barczyk. New episodes every Wednesday!
