Alex and his partner Anna are waiting their first child and will be moving into Alex's old childhood home in Saltsjöbaden. But it is not long before they encounter problems in the form of Alex's mother, Margareta, who has difficulty releasing her old home. Alex gets good advice on how important it is with the view of his neighbor and childhood friend Fredde.
Alex suspects that Anna has been cheating with the actor Ola Rapace and that he can be the father of the child. Fredde gets the craze for grilling which goes so far that Mickan invites him to seek help for his abuse.
Alex and Anna have been told the sex of their child and have great problems with agreeing names. The case doesn't get any easier when Margaretha settles in. Fredde thinks he can change diapers more often than Mickan. An old childhood friend of Alex appears and wants to resume contact, something Alex does not want.
Alex and Fredde try to outdo each other in culinary experiences, which ends with Alex's ambitions exceeding both his own and the cabinet's capacity. Anna goes with Mickan to the gym but has trouble keeping up with the other girls' jargon.
Anna gets anxiety when she wants to buy a pram, do you have to have the latest model to be a good parent? Fredde worries that he loses hair and tries to hide it with various headgear. Ove's attempt to make contact makes Alex lose his patience, something he may regret when he discovers that Ove is in the golf club's board.
Alex begins to think about aging and his attractiveness. Fredde reveals the convergence theory to him, it is about everyone being as good looking with the years. A theory Alex decides to test. The girl should arrange a party for Victor and do everything possible to exceed Lussan's children's party.
Alex and Anna start to get tired of their superficial friendship that only speaks of material things. But when they spend an evening with some new friends, they realize that intellectual snobbism can be just as hard to listen to. Fredde gets problems with the tax authorities but finds a way to solve it. The girl suffers from stress symptoms that she tries to turn to her advantage.
Fredde becomes jealous of Mickan's friendship with a fatherless Italian and decides to give up again. But his plan goes off when it turns out that Mickan is not the jealous type. Anna's bohemian brother Palle comes to visit, which ends with Alex once again getting caught in the interests of different parties.
Midsummer Eve approaches and Fredde and Alex plan to celebrate with their families and friends in the archipelago. Alex accidentally touches his female patient in the dentist's chair. The rumor spreads and a feather soon becomes a hen. Rumor does not get better because Anna, during a girl's dinner, finds traces of a very hesitant internet use in Alex's computer.
Fredde and Mickan decide to go on a romantic castle weekend with the hope of strengthening their relationship and arguing less. Anna doesn't really fit into Saltsjöbaden's mother group and the thing doesn't get any better when she and Alex leave for a child-free weekend.
The girl goes away with the kids over the weekend, which means that Fredde gets a crisis and tests the single life with her younger cousin. Anna and Alex are visited by Anna's parents who do everything possible to prepare for the wedding preparations. Ove makes 40-year-olds and forces Alex to talk.

Anna and Alex are getting mad at the renovation chaos at home and when Jonas suggests that they go into therapy they realize that it is not such a stupid suggestion. Fredde is forced, against his will, to drive Anette to her job every day and Ove begins to question Fredde's intentions with his wife.
Alex and Anna have it hard financially and Alex tries to get Anna to start working again. The girl starts family research with the hope of finding a relative from the upper class. Ove is being consumed by his jealousy against Fredde.
Fredde offers a new colleague, who is temporarily homeless, to move in with him and Mickan. Anna and Alex have realized that Jonas will never get ready with their kitchen and decide to hire a new craftsman. The girl longs for a child but Fredde thinks it is enough for two.
Anna becomes a buddy on Facebook with one of the day-daughters and it is not long before she starts to annoy her new friend's status updates. Fredde and Alex end up in a discussion about whether it is male to sit and pee.
Anna tries to get Alex to activate. Ove's jealousy of Anette's carriage with Fredde to work is becoming increasingly apparent. Lussan has met a new man and everyone is wondering what she sees with him because he is neither good looking nor rich.

In the Saltsjöbaden, a dry cleaner opens that carries the same name as Mickans and Fredde's surname. When Anna and Alex examine different childbirth options, Anna accuses Alex of being a mother pig. He tries to prove the opposite but does not succeed any further.

Fredde realizes that he must widen his son's views but getting into an ordinary apartment does not prove to be so easy.
The Saltsjö baths have been hit by several burglaries and Ove put together a citizen's citizen who is to patrol the streets at night. Fredde refuses to join but Alex has a hard time saying no. Anna and Alex dream of a summer house but they cannot afford it. They can borrow their villa but the problem is a large oak that obscures the lake view and pulls down the value.

Mickan and Lussan start arguing about who really is the CEO of the beauty salon and their only employee, Sappe, is drawn into the power struggle. Fredde gets rid of a very important person. Anna wants to whiten her teeth but Alex refuses to help her so she decides to do it secretly.
There are reunions with Alex's, Fredde's, Ove's and Anette's old class and it's eighties theme. Alex wants to go but Fredde refuses, he only has bad memories of that time. But when he learns that Mickan was dating when they were trial-separated, he changed his mind.
Anna meets a difficult neighbor who makes her want to move to Södermalm. Alex fights and Fredde gives him an advice that has unexpected consequences. The girl finds out what happened at Fredde's class meeting, which leads to a crisis.
