was so much better than the first one! laughing the whole time
This is really terrible. Recent similar shows like The Orville (superb) and Avenue 5 (decent) are miles ahead of this. This is getting one more episode to try and make me laugh - if three shows in you haven’t laughed once, its a complete dud.
That chimp better keep his fucking mouth shut hahaha
My god, it's actually getting worse. So he's supposed to be a "stereotypical army general", but super dumb, and kinda racist to the point it's just embarrassingly unfunny ? I'm literally flabbergasted at how badly this show lacks any sort of humor.
OK, that was funny. The Malkovich-Carell duo works. Confirmation from the first episode that the other characters are not really needed.
Naird is obviously a big reminder of Carell's Michael Scott, for his inability to listen to smarter people's advice, or to showcase his stupid ideas first.
The whole discussion with the chimp is great comedy. When it obviously fails and he's just like "ok, let's go with the dog", that's gold. Cut to the dog's camera with only the tail floating, hilarious sequence.
Clearly the show is not about space accuracy, but the fact that the other satellite was so close that the chimp could reach it at cable length (instead of dozen of kilometers), or that a chimp is supposed to be on a one week trajectory to the sun (that's several times faster than the fastest human made rocket ever) are pretty ridiculous.
There is one really incredible thing. In any other time period, you could not have just suggested that POTUS was ordering stupid such stuff. An off-screen POTUS is always a serious official figure. If he's not, he'd be part of the cast and you would have to show him on screen looking extra goofy so that the public understand that he's a parody and not what's expected from his job. Here they can just go over it and everybody understands and probably even wonders if these things happened for real because it's 100% credible.
Weeeell... this was better than the pilot episode. But then again, almost anything would be better than the pilot episode. Heck, even a video of a chimpanzee hitting two metal bars would be better than the pilot episode! (See what I did there?)
This episode is comedy gold.

This was funny as hell. I loved the monkey business. Best episode so far for me. I love the idiocy of Steve Carell's character against the scientists.
This was so funny that even the 2 line summary of the episode makes me laugh.
Summary: With his beloved satellite severely hobbled, General Naird must decide between a well-reasoned scientific solution and a chimp-led rescue operation.
