So this is Star Wars. What is going on with modern Star Trek. It’s not Star Trek.

I thought this double opening episode was a blast. Clearly taking cues from the Star Wars animated shows but that's not a bad thing to me. This was high energy and exciting with some good mysteries presented.

I like some characters much more than others. Rok is great, Zero is kind of fascinating. Gwyn probably has more depth than the rest of the characters put together. Dal was the problematic one, far too in-your-face, so it's a shame that he's ostensibly the "lead" role.

Visually this was glorious too. I loved a lot of the designs and use of colour.

The big questions for me:
- How did the Protostar get there, and what happened to its crew?
- The bad guy said he had been searching for the ship for a long time, but we've been told by the creators that this show is set only a few years after Voyager, so something doesn't entirely add up at this point.
- Similarly, how come there were so many Alpha Quadrant species here? Mysterious!

I very much doubt I'm the intended audience for Star Trek Prodigy, and it shows.
Whilst the animation looks fantastic and the score is pleasant, the lead character is incredibly annoying and it simply doesn't "feel" like Star Trek.

The easy and obvious comparison is to the Animated Star Wars shows like Rebels and Clone Wars, but honestly: It's an accurate take.

Got some kids who like animated shows with a Sci-Fi feel? Definitely try them with Prodigy.
Are you a teen or a young adult? You might like this.

Are you a die hard Star Trek fan who wants more Star Trek?
This isn't that.

As above, it just doesn't feel like Star Trek, at all.
I'll give it a few more episodes, but I can't see me sticking with this.

I liked it better when it was called Star Wars. I kept on waiting for one of the characters to be Force sensitive. It’s essentially trying to be a Star Wars spin off series (but not as good) with a nod to Star Trek.

I’ll see where this goes. It would be nice to get some new real Star Trek at some point. It’s been a long while now.

It was knowing of the addition of the one already established Star Trek character that kept my interest going here. Will give credit there for that. We will see how well the character will be used going forward.

Overall interesting premise - but honestly, this felt more like Star Wars than Star Trek.

Seems like my fears have come to pass.

Its a comic set in the ST Universe, not a ST Show which is a comic (like TAS was) - mainly people knocking over stuff without giving a care, the comic-screams when something moves them fast, etc.

It feels like they just tagged Star Trek on to get a higher viewership.

I already dislike the childishness in Lower Decks, but this takes it to a whole new Level.

Cancel this now and give us Section 31 with the only really good Character Discovery has actually produced (The Emperor)

Like others pointed out, the SW banner would have fit better - I'm wondering if Kennedy had been offered it before and declined :)

I've been watching some truly disappointing trash lately so my edges have been worn down a bit, and I gotta say, this pilot wasn't bad at all. As a big fan of the franchise, I'm looking forward to seeing where the animation goes. Bring it.

Should’ve called this Star Trek: Star Wars

I'm really trying to enjoy this show but it's really not holding my attention. I find myself struggling from being distracted by things going on around me which means the show is not holding me down enough. while struggling for good Syfy I find myself giving this show a little more hope and will wait for the next episode to see where it goes.

I actually enjoyed this much more then I thought I would!

I know at 50+ years old I'm not the target audience and I'm not calling this awful but I don't feel it. It feels too generic with a little bit of Trek on the side.

The animation looks great and the voice acting is all right, too. I cannot connect or identify with the characters and the lead one is quite obnoxius from my point of view. I do see that kids/teens might like it, though.

Yes, there are some interesting questions raised by the plot but I don't think that warrants me to further look into it. I hope it inspires the younger audience to look deeper into Star Trek.

Why do you guys have EPISODE 2 listed... WAY before EPISODE 1 aired? They aired 1 and 2 back to back.
