The first half is a great mystery episode, the second is frustrating and a bit dull. Brent Spiner is astounding when playing Data, but unfortunately bad when playing anyone else. He himself admits that his natural style is to overact, and it's cringe worthy to witness. That's not to say that playing three distinct characters is not super impressive, he manages to make each one individual and I can only imagine the effort it must have taken.

I was also waiting for Data to mention Lal, as it would have been a natural topic to bring up with his creator but... nothing. Huh. The ending of the episode also falls flat, as there are no repercussions for anyone's actions. But that first half is tense and exciting as Data takes control of the ship and outmanoeuvres everyone. The reintroduction of Lore is a fun shock.

I thought the Borg were a formidable foe until I watched this episode. It's impressive (and somewhat creepy) how quickly and easily Data can take over the Enterprise and leave everyone defenseless (or even simply killing everyone on board with minimum effort). Hacking Data must be quite the fun hobby in the future.

It's always fun to see Lore, but the whole "family reunion" thing was rather underwhelming.

I found it unbelievably irritating that the older brother was blamed for something the younger one did by himself. Older brother pranking his younger brother by playing dead is in no logical way related to younger brother being an idiot and eating the fruit. Younger brother could've eaten the fruit at any time. The person who made it so easily reachable for uneducated kids is to blame, and I'm willing to bet it wasn't his older brother...

I'm a simple girl. I see Lore I put a smile on my face. So I like this one.
Brent Spiner as Dr. Soong was a no no, but it's trashy in a way I like unfortunately.
Lal not being mentioned KILLED ME.
