Didn't Stargate SG-1 do this story already?

Well, it's an ambitious episode with lot of new stages, costumes and a lot of actors hired for this episode. Plus, it's entertaining to see the crew in (more or less) different roles (Tuvok!). It's disappointing again, that the writers need either a Holo scenario or like in this episode a brainwashed Janeway to tell a half-decent romantic story with the Captain. The mystery behind all of this keeps you invested. Strangely, though, they give the mystery away very early in the episode. As soon as Tuvok has his first flashback, you basically know the whole story: abduction, memory manipulation, forced labor. It's all too foreseeable. Even the "crew" back on Voyager locates the rest of the crew very quickly. Don't understand why they give the mystery away so quickly - they could have saved this for part 2 of the double feature.

Part one of this story isn't really exciting. To be honest, I don't think the life they live on that planet is really worth to be told. It's not really like an exciting mirror universe I'm drawn into. Maybe part 2 is better.

If you have a two parter then why give up the secret after the first act ? After that it becomes a bit boring.

Curious what happened to Icheb and Naomi Wildman. Were they also brainwashed? Extra messed up to do that to a kid. Hopefully they didn’t put them to work too…
